There are more than a few exciting things going on, but I'd like to share two.
First, New Mexico will have two sites participating in the 5th Annual Global Game Jam. We've participate since the beginning and once again game developers, designers and others interested will be able to produce their games in both Albuquerque and Las Cruces.

If you know of others who are interested in getting involved with game development, this is an excellent opportunity to start. Please spread the word!
For those of you interested in launching a new startup, please be on the lookout for Startup Weekend which will arrive in Santa Fe the weekend of March 1st-3rd. This 54 hour biz model development jam has taken place in over a hundred countries and included nearly 100K entrepreneurs (with some backing and sponsorship from the Kauffman Foundation, Google, Microsoft... those kinds of folks). If you're interested, please let me know!
