Hi everyone - happy new year!

For the past three years New Mexico has been part of a worldwide game development sprint event, the "Global Game Jam." This year we expect to have at least two sites participating -- but we're interested in seeing if there can be more or we can otherwise help make connections. The Jam runs from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon for lots of game-making goodness (board game development is included too). If you and your business/town/school/org are interested in participating, please let us know!

We're currently on Facebook in two locations:

More from the Global Game Jam team:

The Global Game Jam™ (GGJ), an IGDA event, registration for the 2012 Global Game Jam is underway, allowing interested people to secure their spot at one of the many locations worldwide.

This will mark the fourth year of the event, which brings together students, hobbyists and professionals to team up and create complete, playable games over the course of a single weekend.

“This global event continues to foster creativity in a friendly atmosphere of cooperation and education. Game projects are not even limited to the digital variety,” said Foaad Khosmood, GGJ director.

Registration for the Global Game Jam has 2 main parts. Both are necessary to be a part of the GGJ event.

Register for the Las Cruces Site at: http://www.facebook.com/events/140101742766659/
