Opening big JavaScript files, such as minified files on Chrome Developer Tools, tab Sources, makes it freeze. On a project of mine, if I click on jquery-1.11.1.min.js it hangs and I can't do anything other then close the tab. To make things even harder, Chrome remembers the last file opened on the Source tab, and remembers the last tab opened, so I have to open another website, fire up Developer Tools and change tabs in order to make it work on my project. I had to debug using Firefox instead of Chrome.

This is a known bug: Chromium Bug Tracker - Issue 593679 - [REGRESSION] DevTools: Big sources hang the Developer Tools, and it's currently fixed, but not available on regular/stable Google Chrome or Chromium.

Just coming back to note that I tested Chrome stable 85.0.4183.121, and this is much improved! (I haven't tested in a while, so I'm not sure exactly when it improved. But there was some movement on the bug report in May.)

Pretty printing the minified file (in the debugger, by klicking the button) seems to "solve" this (version 51.0.2704.103 m). Chrome will initially slow to a crawl, but click and give it a good number of seconds and it will calm down a soon as the pretty printed source is displayed.

For me, my browser wasn't freezing until I tried to save a change to a large, minified JS file in the sources panel. Chrome Canary wasn't solving this problem for me like it had for others, but I was able to find a solid work around by using the "Local Overrides" feature in Chrome Dev Tools.

Chrome still crashed when I saved a change in dev tools to a javjascript file in the sources tab, but it did successfully save it to the overrides folder and i was able to see this change on my site after reloading Chrome.

Hello. I am running into an issue with ArcMap where I am unable to access my map document after running custom tools from the toolbox. There is no dialog box that appears when I first run the tool, making it difficult to see the progress of the tool.

However, some tools result in output layers and symbology that automatically show up in the contents, which is how I know it's completed. The problem is, once the tool runs, ArcMap completely freezes and is not responsive, and whenever I try to click something on the document, it just makes a "ding" sound similar to when the file selection window is open when first starting up ArcMap.

Hello! I did figure this out but seems to be a different issue from yours given the solution you shared. Mine was an issue with the dialog box not showing up at all, due to multiple screens and ultimately it was "hidden". The fix was pressing Alt + Space, down once, then Enter - which allowed me to move the window and make it visible again.

If you are experiencing audio dropouts or having notes cut off during playback, it is possible your CPU is struggling to keep up with the demands of the current session. As a workaround, most DAWs offer a way to 'freeze' tracks, which will render the track as an audio file and disable the plugins to conserve CPU. You can later 'unfreeze' the track for further editing or arrangement.

Pro Tools has the ability to freeze up to a particular insert in the plugin chain. This means you can render the plugin to audio, however retain full control over the tracks processing. I.e, EQ, Compression

If you must turn off hardware acceleration to get the software to run then its likely that the system does not meet the minimum requirements for a dedicated graphics card. The best solution here is get a new computer that meets requirements or upgrade the graphics on the system because not meeting the Hardware requirements to run the software is asking for nothing but problems in my opinion.

The integrated graphics card will have major issues with tool graphics and the standalone tool manager. Once you get a standalone card, you need to be sure to point the tool manager to the standalone card. See here:

This has been an issue for more than an year and its extremely frustrating as it occures every 10 min or so.
