HiI have a Sketchup Pro trial with a MacBook Pro, Apple M2 Pro, 16 GB, Mac Os Sonoma Version 14.4.1 and it crashes all the time doing the simplest tasks. Is there an incompatibility between Sketchup version 2024 and this model of computer? Does it happen to anyone else?

Hi @AlejandroGA . No worries and I understand. I was curious if you followed the thread and tried to use the classic graphics if that would also help you. It would be more weight to show the need for a bug fix on the new graphics engine.

Hi, Im trying to download the Maya trial but it defaults to the linux version when I download it. I don't think I got an option to choose which OS I need when I went through the initial steps and I cant go back and try again because if I try that it tells me my trial has already started. So now I am stuck with a useless installer. Any ideas what to do here?

Which product are you looking to Trial? I can see Revit, Revit LT, and AutoCAD Architecture Trials activated for your account. Any further details or screenshots of the issue you are experiencing would be incredibly helpful

A way to make a "trial" would be to use an in app purchase. If the user has not purchased the in app, you can mark the open date somewhere and run the app unlocked for a certain period of time, say for 10 days or whatever (you'll want to show somewhere in your UI that the app is being run as a trial at this point so the user is aware of this).

Then when 10 days is up, you show an alert and tell the user his trial has expired and you take away some features. The app has to function in some capacity though, with limited features after the "trial" has ended.

Yea it's a hack. Yea it's a pain to implement, and yea it's confusing to explain to customers since the App Store doesn't provide any "real" support for trials (as you mentioned the button say "Get" not "Start Trial"). But apps do do this and do get approved on the store. It's been awhile since I took a look at iAP, there may be other ways to structure iAPs to make a trial.

Welcome to the App Store. There is never a guarantee that your app will be approved. Apple reserves the right to reject any app. I may have a "trial" app implemented with an in app purchase ?. I gave you a very general description of one way you could do this.

If you design your UI properly that makes it clear to the user when he is in a trial (perhaps putting a "Register" button in the toolbar) and a label displaying when the trial expires, App Review will see it when you submit to them. I cannot tell you if your app will get accepted or rejected. Nobody on these forums will ever be able to pre-review your app.

I have installed the Nitro PDF Pro application on my Mac, and I am trying to begin my free trial but I do not see that option on launch, the closest thing to it is a mode called 'demo' that leaves a smiley watermark on documents.

If you use the Nitro Pro demo, your saved and printed documents will have a watermark. To get rid of this watermark, you need to buy a Nitro Pro license and register the app. If you already own Nitro Pro, be sure to register it with your new license.

Please be careful not to save watermarked files using "File > Print > PDF > Save as PDF..." because that will keep the watermark permanently, as if you printed it on paper. Registering won't remove it in this case.

I accidentally got the SpectraLayers Pro 7 Trial after updating my Cubase Pro 11. I never want to try, also never realized I got it until today.

The trial warning shows every time I start and quit Cubase and it is really annoying.

Can somebody show me how to Uninstall and remove this trial License from my Mac? And does it affect Spectralayers One?

I have bought from the App Store Djay AI PRO and it starts fine on my iPhone. On the Mac instead everytime I start it it shows me an overlay window inviting me to sign-up and buy or to start a free trial. This happens even when I open Djay from my App Store list of purchased apps.

I purchased Designer 2 on the Mac app store after starting a free trial but every time I open the app it says continue trial or buy now, as seen in the screenshot below, and the restore purchases button at the bottom is completely unresponsive.

Have the same problem on my Macbook Pro M1. Tried the "purchase again and hope that it recognizes that I already bought" approach up to the point where it started verifying my credit card. At that point I aborted the process.

I bought the universal license as in-App purchase, but for some reason was not directly forwarded to the registration screen. As I downloaded all three Apps simultaniously, I later tried from a different application to restore my purchase, which (obviously) did not work. So what you need to do is:

Check the purchase confirmation you received from Apple for the application you used to purchase the license, and restore your purchase from exactly this application. This should redirect you to the registration form for the Affinity account. Register it there and afterwards start the other applications and activate them using your Affinity account.

Aprs avoir reu la confirmation (facture) par mail de l'app store, j'ai rouvert Affinity aujourd'hui et os cliquer nouveau sur ACHETER, et un cran d'activation s'est alors affich (pour l'activation de la licence). Mais attention car une confirmation Touch ID s'est mise par dessus pour confirmer l'achat donc j'ai juste annul la confirmation Touch ID (par peur de payer deux fois) et j'ai pu accder la fentre d'activation en dessous, connecter mon compte Affinity et enregistrer la licence "in-app". Et c'est tout bon !

Nobody seems to be mentioning the 'I already have an Affinity Designer 2 or Universal Licence' link at the bottom of the window. That one worked for me (after I paid for the Universal Licence as an in-app purchase in Photo).

An Apple Mac (tested with macOS 10.14, 10.15, and Big Sur) executable version of HYSPLIT is availablein both a trial (unregistered) and registered version. The package contains all the documentation and test data. However, the Tcl/Tk software to run the graphical interface must be independently downloaded and should be installed prior to installing HYSPLIT. A version that has been tested with HYSPLIT is available here for convenience. More recent versions, including registration information, can be obtained from the main site listed below.

Although not required to run HYSPLIT, a GUI composed of multiple Tcl/Tk scripts are provided with HYSPLIT. The model can also be run using a command line interface. However, it is easier for novice users to use the Tcl/Tk interface. The standard HYSPLIT installation includes all the GUI scripts, but the Tcl/Tk interpreter is not part of the distribution. Most Unix / Linux operating system distributions, as well as macOS, include Tcl/Tk. If not already installed, you can download Tcl/Tk from the Tcl/Tk web site. Install the software to the suggested default directory prior to installing HYSPLIT.

If Tcl/Tk has been installed, then the model GUI can be started from the ./hysplit/working directory byrunning ./hysplit.tcl from the terminal window. When the GUI starts for the first time it will automaticallycreate several files with names starting with default_ which contain various default parameters. If the startupfails it may be necessary to edit the directory location file (default_exec) for elements such as the location of the X11 "xterm" command. These directories can be changed from the "advanced/configuration/directories" menu tab. X11 is not required and the model GUI can be started from the regular terminal display if the X11 directory entry remains blank.

If Tcl/Tk has not been installed, then the model can be run from the terminal window from the ./hysplit/workingdirectory. Prior to the models first time use it may be necessary to copy ../bdyfiles/ASCDATA.CFG to the ./working directory.

A recent feature added to the GUI is the ability to convert the Postscript graphics output file to other graphical formats. This capability is enabled through the installation of ImageMagick, which normally requires the prior installation of Ghostscript. However, on Apple systems Ghostscript is not required and therefore when using Preview, export the file to any non-Adobe format, which then can be converted to any other format using ImageMagick. After installation, it may be necessary to edit the location of the Imagemagick "convert" command. Directories can be changed from the"advanced/configuration/directories" menu tab".

The HYSPLIT trajectory and concentration programs create high resolution publication quality graphics files in Postscript format. These can be printed directly on any Postscript printer or viewed and printed on any printer (even non-Postscript) if Ghostscript has been installed. On Apple Darwin systems Postscript files are opened directly using Preview and therefore Ghostscript is not required.

This trial will allow you to experience the full licensed product for 15 days, with the exception of word export (due to licensing limitations). Once you purchase a license, word export will be active.

You could try SimLab Composer, the full download will act as a free viewer after the trial expires and should be able to open Rhino files (the full version does, so I assume the free version will also open/import Rhino files for viewing). It is available for Windows and Mac
