Forthe past 5 hours, I have been going through all 70 of my mods and finding the ones that work and the ones that don't. I have been trying to run UNP Female body Renewal for a few days now actually as I have had a plan to put into motion for youtube for quite some time.I have followed every unclear instruction it gives me and I still can't get the mod to function. At first, it was an FNIS issue, as it wasn't allowing me to run any patch because of auth issues. I fixed that by manually installing the mod into the Skyrim files. The next issue I had was that I discovered that even when running NMM to install UNP Femail body Renewal, it wasn't placing any mesh or texture files into my steam directory. I was forced to manually do that myself too. I am currently doing exactly this, in this order:

-Install 360 Walk and Run Plus

-Install UNP Femail body renewal (Even though I have established it doesn't do anything as I have to manually transfer the desired files in and have already done so)

I have been following the instructions on the official Nexus mod post of UNP Female body Renewal For TBBP, and I even tried following the instructions on Dragonfly BBP Animation for SE because I was originally using that and not 360 Walk and Run Plus.

-you don't have to run fnis until after everything you have installed to be run is finished installed. FNIS is a patcher, you don't run patchers mid way in your install order, it's not how patchers work.

- nothing should override xpmsse, nothing; that's your skeleton file you mess w/ that you're pretty much shot yourself in the foot. this means, if you're using MO2: that xpmsse should be loaded as priority after unp making it take precedence.

- join the cult of MO2 if you haven't already, it blows NMM outta the water and makes installation and troubleshooting a breeze, literally. You will have less issue tearing at your scalp and more time making headway in w/e progress you're trying to make.

The FNIS message you quoted above clearly says that you HAVE NOT installed XPMSSE (or overwritten it with another skeleton). It should read 115 bones, not 99 and it shoudl clearly say "XPMSSE HDT" or something similar.

The whole thing sounds like an installation problem. Maybe NMM isn't installed correctly - or you're running into some file protection / access issue. This can happen, if you installed Skyrim in one of the "Program Files" on your system drive (e.g. c:\program files (x86)\...).

if it's an overhaul that modifies the skeleton then it's in the body/type texture category. unless specifically stated inside the mod itself that you must override the skeleton, otherwise you don't and leave it unmodified and as priority. A lot of things say overhaul, but what type of overhauls? That's the thing you and all modders should pay attention to.
