Hi everyone:
I just wanted to check in & make sure that all of you are able to
locate the various files (meeting minutes & agendas, the latest
version of our garden design, photographs, etc.) on our Rio Nido
Community Garden Web site:
When you visit the Web site/newsgroup at
http://groups.google.com/group/rio-nido-gardnerds/,
do the following:
(1) Scroll down until you see the bold heading that says FILES (it
has a little icon with a folder next to it)
(2) Click on the VIEW ALL link to see a page with a list of all the
files.
(3) To display files in alphabetical order, click the FILE NAME
link at the top of the left-hand column
To sort by who uploaded the file, click on the UPLOADED link (2nd
column heading from the left)
To sort by date, click on the DATE UPLOADED link (far right). Please
note, this is the date when the file was uploaded to the site, not the
date when the file was created.
I have renamed our files so that basic types of information are
clustered together when sorted alphabetically. So far, I have the
following categories & file naming conventions. Don't worry about how
you name the files when posting, I can change the names:
Garden design: These are the various drafts & iterations of the design
for our garden. These files start with "design." ... as in
design.RCNG.YYYY.DD.MM.jpg or pdf
General information: Such as a sample MOU document, an image of a map
with the location of our garden, etc. These file names start with
"info." as in: info.RNCG.location(map).jpg
Meeting agendas & minutes: start with "RNCG.meeting.agenda" or
"RNCG.meeting.minutes", as in RNCG.meeting.minutes.2008.11.08.doc.
Parks & Recs presentations & meetings: These start with
RRPR.Presentation or RRPR.meeting. We may need to do some sort of
presentation or series of presentations to Parks & Rec each year for
additional funding, or at least, continued use of the space.
General photos of the site: Carolyn uploaded a LOT of photos of the
garden site to aid discussion of the design. For now, I've set things
up so their file names begin with "z.site" so they all cluster
together at the end of the file name list & don't get mixed up with
the other information.
Hope this helps!
