Hi everyone:

Yikes! I'm so sorry for missing the meeting. Gigi has been sick this
week. How did it go? I'm still working on a design for the sign -- did
we finalize the name as Sunrise Garden? I'll post it. Also, I'm going
to start working on creating plans from Carolyn's design. I'd
appreciate any input from the design committee & also from Seneca.

Hi Elisabeth,

No worries! We missed you but had a great session. I scribed the meeting and will post the minutes to the board. We also had a few corrections to the previous minutes that I will post. I hope Gigi is starting to feel better!

We did agree that the candidate design cannot be completed until we resolve the variables that depend on: 1) the soil test results, which will tell us how many raised beds we will be working with; and 2) the appropriate locating of the perimeter fence (i.e. whether we will share a fence with the tennis courts). I will include the details of all these variables in the notes, but I think it makes sense to hold off on creating plans until the design is more firmed up. I admit that I'm not sure what you mean by plans based on the design - I'm still catching up!

I should be able to get the minutes up in the next couple of days.

Hi Elisabeth,
So sorry to hear Gigi's been sick. I hope she feels better soon!

We were all happy to meet an hour later today, and even though it was
cold in the Pee Wee clubhouse we managed get a lot accomplished in the
1 1/2 hrs we were together.

I'm glad Ayesha responded to your message to give you a head's up to
hold off on any further work on the design. Details on this will all
be in the minutes that Ayesha will post, but the design committee
plans to meet again once Ann gets the soil test back from Harmony
Farm. It's their intention then to move ahead with the final garden
design plan, being more specific with measurements, number of boxes,
materials lists, pricing, etc. The commmittee will bring it to us at
the February meeting for further discussion & hopefully final
approval.

We did agree today on the name, "Sunrise Garden" - Rio Nido Organic
Community Garden. Cathy will be in contact with you and Richard on
this.

We also agreed on a final version of the Guidelines & Rules which I
can post to the group. I'll wait to do that until after Ayesha posts
the minutes.

The next meeting is scheduled for Feb 14 at 10 am. See you there, and
around the 'hood in the meantime.
