Hello gardners,
I have been approached by several neighbors asking me to facilitate a meeting so we can get a couple of things rolling.  Thing is, I think it is too late to call a meeting for this week (the traditional 2nd sat.) and some say they can't make the next Sat.  So, here is what I propose:  Ann Thomas, who does not have e-mail has volunteered to be the "chair" of the small group who have said they will work on the physical set up of the garden, i.e. fence and layout of beds. So, unless there are strong objections I propose that we graciously accept her offer.  She says you can call her at:  869-9359.  Would you like to see beds arranged in a specific way? Do you have opinions about the fencing?  Are you willing to contribute IDEAS? ENERGY? MUSCLE? Call Ann and let her know what you think and what you will do. Or post your ideas here very soon and I will make sure she gets them.

Once the area is tilled, some of us will need to go level it out, then the fence can be erected and the beds built.  There will be plenty to do in between the rains this winter.  ALSO, volunteers are needed to make some suggestions as to how we will allocate beds, what if any rules we will have, fees or not...I hope everyone is talking about these things amongst ourselves in preparation for when we do have a meeting so we can do the meeting with efficency.  The point of this google site is for us to talk things out with each other...now that we have a new direction for the country lets renew our focused energy for our community's garden.  Let us know your thoughts and what you are willing to do....spread the word...Spring will come before we know it  Yes we can.

Greetings, neighbors:

I sent my last email because our usual meeting time is approaching &
apparently Seneca was feeling equally antsy because I JUST received
her posting to the newsgroup, which reads as follows:
I totally endorse & support Seneca's recommendation of Ann Thomas as
chair for the physical design/layout of the garden. She is highly
reliable, dedicated, knowledgeable, & well-organized. Ann called me
last week & had lots of wonderful ideas from all of the community
gardens she's visited. I also recommend that we appoint Seneca as
chair of the
"Steering" committee responsible for organization, procedures,
finances & logistics.

However, I don't want to postpone the meeting. We need to keep our
groove going. Those of us who can need to meet this Saturday at 9am at
the garden site (by the tennis court of Bruno Farnocchia Memorial
Park). If it's raining, bring your umbrella. Also, bring your photos,
ideas & links with plenty of copies to pass around. Sign up for any
committees that interest you, & I'll hook you up with the right
people. After 15 minutes MAX, we can adjourn & all go home.

Thank you.
