2024-2025 WeTeach_Cyber Hub
Deadline to Apply:  April 5, 2024

The WeTeach_Cyber Hub is a professional development initiative to build and enhance cybersecurity education in our Texas high schools. The goal of the WeTeach_Cyber Hub is to increase the number of Texas high school CTE teachers who can effectively prepare students for cybersecurity post-secondary opportunities and careers.

You must be a certified Texas teacher and currently employed by a Texas school district to be eligible.

This year-long hub will consist of Texas certified high school teachers who will work within a community of practice as they deepen their cybersecurity knowledge and develop tools and strategies for their CTE cybersecurity programs of study. This course will progress educators from the fundamentals of cybersecurity to the preparation for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.

Quotes from previous participants:
"I feel like there was a lot more useful interaction with the other members of the Collaborative versus traditional style PD which tends to feel very surface-level."

" I definitely needed the review that the Collaborative afforded me. The hands-on labs were very important in helping me to have confidence in my ability."

"The Collaborative was well paced and introduced us to many topics and resources.  Passionate speakers at both events made the training more exciting."

The WeTeach_Cyber Hub is free and open to all skill levels – what better way to get some high-quality, hands-on cybersecurity knowledge?
