Two cell phone waiting areas are available to make it convenient for those picking up arriving passengers. When your passengers have retrieved their luggage, exited the baggage claim area, and are waiting at the curb they can call you on your cell phone and you may proceed directly to curbside pickup. This will keep you from having to drive around and around the terminal while waiting for them.
Our Cell Phone Waiting Lot at San Antonio International Airport offers customers a place to park and wait for their party to arrive. Located one block off 410/Airport Blvd, adjacent to the QMart and Burger King, the Cell Phone Lot allows drivers a temporary area to park, free of charge, until friends, family members or business associates have deplaned, collected baggage, and called to be picked up curbside. All vehicles must remain attended while parked in the waiting lot.
The lots east of Terminal 4 and near West Economy Garage have about 90 parking spaces, signage with all airline telephone numbers and an electronic flight information display, plus portable bathrooms.
The most important rule while using either lot is stay with your vehicle. The waiting areas are designed to be used for 30 minutes or less. Please note that parking and leaving your vehicle at a cell phone lot is not permitted, and you may be subject to towing or fines. See a list of available airport parking options.
I was playing around in Settings a few days ago, and I enabled something which causes my phone to briefly vibrate when it's asleep and I pick it up. I can't find what setting that is, and how to disable it.
Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures > Smart Alert. Turn this off. It's a feature that enables your phone to vibrate when youpick it up after missing calls or receiving messages.
My observation is that when an iPhone has their iMessage turned off and someone else who sends an imessage to that phone, their message would automatically turn to "text" messages instead of imessages. (Whoa, that sounds a bit confusing).
Tried reset network settings, tried signing out and back in to applie ID in imessage, goes through verification, selected the appropriate phone number, but still shows "No addresses" and the phone number for the phone is greyed out, and unable to be ticked.
I just did this method, and it seems to have worked. I noticed I wasn't receiving iMessages from my overseas buddies on my new phone, but they were coming through on my iPad. My number in grey wasn't ticked. I went through this method and now it is ticked. Thank you!
I am so frusturated and still having trouble with my phone. I am new to Iphones, Apple, and Sprint and bought a refurbished phone from Freedompop, which rides on the Sprint network. The phone is perfect and the calls are good, but for some reason when I click on settings then phone, the number next to "my number" is wrong. It shows up when I send messages and get on Facetime but it is faded out, so I can't change it either there or when I click on Facetime in the settings section. In the "you can be reached by facetime at" it lists my correct email but that same number, again faded out. The caller ID section isn't faded, but still won't let me change anything. When I call another phone, my actual number comes up- same with calling it. When I log on to apple's website and look at my information, this strange number doesn't show up anywhere, so I can't imagine where it is coming from or how to get rid of it. If you have any new ideas, I would really appreciate hearing from you. I have searched and searched and followed directions with turning messaging and facetime off, rebooting, turning back on, ect and nothing is working. Nothing let's me click on "my number" to change it. So frusturating!! Please help me. Thank you for your time!
Google Voice gives you a phone number for calls, texts, and voicemails. You can use this number to make domestic and international calls from your web browser and mobile devices. If you're in the US, you can choose your own number.
If you choose to change your number today, it should happen immediately once you complete the process and follow the instructions for resetting your phone. If you don't choose today, the number will change at midnight ET of the chosen day, and then you'll need to follow the instructions given to you for resetting your phone.
But when I walk through the online process, it does not give me a list of open phone numbers to choose from. It merely states what my new phone number will be based on the prefix that I've chosen and if I don't like it, then I have to choose a different prefix or wait until the next day to see what lucky number I'll draw next.
Is there a way I can manually choose a phone number from an availability list or something similar? I would like to be able to choose my next phone number. Is this possible through their online system, or do I need to go into a store and bug the hell out of some rep to let me pick my new phone number from a list on his computer?
The ContactsContracts is very complicated. I found many examples, but none that fit my needs. I don't want to choose a contact and then query for the contact's details because this will give me a list of their phone numbers. I need the user to choose ONE of the contact's phone numbers. I don't want to have to write my own dialogs to display the contacts or to have the user pick a phone number. Is there any simple way to get what I want?
This code might help you. I think the PICK action only returns the ID of the contact picked. From that you could query the Contact provider and if there are multiple phone numbers, prompt the user to select one of them.
When you initially log in to Genesys Cloud for the first time, you do not have a selected phone. To indicate that you do not have a selected phone, Calls appears red to prompt you to select a phone. Similarly, if your selected phone becomes disassociated, Calls appears red.
Notes:
Note: If you are an agent, your admin can make sure that you have a selected phone to go on queue. For more information, see How can I make sure that an agent goes off queue if they deselect their phone?
Use your favorite apps, respond to texts, make calls, view photos, and more in the Phone Link . After approving permissions to allow access to your phone, you can use your favorite apps, respond to texts, make calls, view photos, and more on your Windows PC. If you allow syncing contacts from your phone with your Microsoft account, you can enjoy seamless access to your phone-synced contact data on other Microsoft apps and services.
Notification permission allows data transfer and notification sending between your devices, which lays the foundation for cross-device features. By giving permissions, you can use your Android device on your PC with phone photo management, notification management and App usage (where it is supported).
Phone Link may be disrupted due to power, Bluetooth connectivity, and other technical issues. Also, unlike your mobile or fixed-line phone, Phone Link is not required by local or national regulations to provide access to emergency services.
Alert when phone picked up: Set the device to notify you about missed calls and messages by vibrating when you pick it up. To find this, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Settings icon. Tap Advanced features, and then tap Motions and gestures. Tap the switch next to Alert when phone picked up to turn it on.
Note: This is not available on tablets.
T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T are the three major phone carriers. Most people have a cell phone plan with one of these three companies. You may also hear or read about Sprint, which was a fourth major carrier before T-Mobile bought the company in 2020. These are the big 5G networks providing complete talk, text and data plans, as well as mobile Wi-Fi.
There are also many smaller carriers. You can also get cell phone mobile offers from one of the many mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), such as Cricket Wireless, Consumer Cellular, Google Fi, Xfinity Mobile, and Mint Mobile. These companies purchase coverage at wholesale rates from the major carriers and then create and sell their own cell phone plans. The plans are often less expensive than what you can find from a major carrier, but they may include fewer extras. These plans tend to have less customer service.
Your U.S. credit history can impact your options. In addition to impacting your eligibility for a postpaid plan, having good credit in the U.S. might be important if you want to finance a new phone.
