For most of us, a motorcycle test ride is a necessity. While it might be hard to get a feel for a brand-new motorcycle or even an old used dirt bike on a short run, you can at least see how it fits you and if it might suit your needs.
In some places, it is legal to test ride a motorcycle without a license as long as a licensed rider or instructor accompanies you. In other places, it is illegal to operate a motorcycle without a valid license, regardless of the circumstances.
As noted above, if they allow for test rides, you will more than likely need a valid motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license and be able to demonstrate understanding or experience with the type of bike you are trying to test ride.
From a buyer's perspective, it's unfortunate that most dealerships don't let you test drive a motorcycle like you can a car. Even if the bike you want is in your price range and sitting on the selling floor, it's improbable they will let you ride it.
To get around this, motorcycle dealerships host demo days where many dedicated test bikes are available to try. These demo bikes keep costs down and give you a feel for the bike you like, but, as always, there's a catch: you'll have to sign a waiver.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is an open world racing game in the Test Drive series, and the second entry in the Test Drive Unlimited sub-series. The game allows players to drive a variety of cars and motorcycles around recreations of the Hawaiian island of Oahu, which returns from the first game in a refreshed form, and the Balearic island of Ibiza, which is new to the series.

Driving a motorcycle in the state of Mississippi requires a "motorcycle endorsement" on your regular Class R driver's license. To receive this endorsement, you must take the written and the riding tests.
Note: If you are new to the state and already have a valid motorcycle license or endorsement from another state, you are in the clear; the State may waive your written and riding tests. However, it is still a good idea to read through the manual for state specific information and to refresh yourself on motorcycle safety.
Once you pass this part of the test, you will earn a learner's permit. With your shiny new permit, you can legally hit the public roads for hands-on training on two wheels. However, you must bring along a fellow rider who is at least 21 years old and who has a valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement. Don't put this person on the back of your bike; he/she should either follow alongside you on a motorcycle or behind you in a vehicle.
Should you feel confident in your riding ability, you can opt to take the riding test on the same day you receive your learner's permit. In other words, once you pass the written portion, you are allowed to jump right into the riding part of the exam. Simply bring along another licensed rider to ride your bike when you take your written exams; you should not be riding your motorcycle on public roads without a permit. Or, if you prefer, you can trailer your bike to the driver's license office.

Now that I have your attention let's dive into the dollar value of a Demo. Price is often the leading factor when purchasing any new toy, and there's no better way to save than with the massive discounts applied to Demo units. In many instances, Argyll Motorsports will receive an external Demo from an OEM such as BMW Motorrad. This type of unit does not require the customer to pay for Freight or Assembly as that cost has already been paid by the manufacturer. Controlled Test Rides!

These 1 on 1 test rides are often shorter than 30 minutes and a rider is never left alone throughout the duration of the test ride. Demo's are often only ridden under 500 KMs in controlled environments, which greatly helps speed up each motorcycle break in period. Less break in time = more time for fun. The classroom course is 320 minutes long. It is presented in one or more sessions. The course must include essential information about traffic safety. It must cover these and other topics: driver attitude and behavior, defensive driving techniques, and the Vehicle & Traffic Law. No formal testing is required to complete the course.
If you don't transfer your endorsement when you apply for a license, you'll need to complete a motorcycle safety course or pass the knowledge and riding skills tests to get an endorsement.
