Hi guys,

Is there any module or project that ports socket.io from nodejs to ringojs?

Or if there is any way to do http push like comet or socket.io type of thing.  Let me know.

I have managed to get both socketio working along side with the app running on different ports, but it would be great if we can put both in one platform.

Ok I did some research and found this:

  1. ibdknox/socket.io-netty
  2. benkay/java-socket.io.client
  3. Ovea/Socket.IO-Java
  4. Gottox/socket.io-java-client
  5. mrniko/netty-socketio
Let me know if I'm on the right track.  And if anyone had experience with this.

This is mentioned for android on the socket.io site.

If you're not married to Socket.io, there's the WebSocket class in the standard module ringo/httpserver, with an example on github here: https://github.com/ringo/ringojs/blob/master/examples/websocket-server.js
