Multi-factor authentication (also known as MFA, two-step verification, two factor authentication, or 2FA) is a highly recommended security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your Dropbox account. Enabling multi-factor authentication means that Dropbox will require a six-digit security code (in addition to your password) when you log in to your account or link a new computer, phone, or tablet.

If you choose to receive your security codes by text message, you need a phone capable of receiving text messages (carrier rates may apply). A text message containing a security code will be sent to your phone each time you log in to Dropbox.

After enabling multi-factor authentication, consider adding a backup phone that can receive text messages as well. If you ever lose your primary phone, or can't use your authenticator app, you can send a security code to your backup phone number instead.

The Battle.net Authenticator is now available within the Battle.net Mobile App. The Battle.net Authenticator provides two-factor authentication to keep your Battle.net Account secure.

If you are an existing user of the Battle.net app simply tap the Authenticator option from the side menu and click Enable.

If you no longer have access to your old device, you will need to click "Can't Log In" on the login screen. If you have phone notifications set up you can verify your identity through SMS verification to remove the old authenticator from your account allowing you to set up the authenticator in the Battle.net Mobile App. If you are unable to verify your account through SMS you will need to contact customer support for assistance with removing your old authenticator.

Battle.net Phone Notifications are designed for text-enabled mobile phones. Messaging apps like iMessage (iOS) or WhatsApp (iOS, Android) are not supported. The Two-Factor Authentication screen provides a link for manual set up, but no instructions. When I select the link, a very long "Key" comes up, but what do I do with that key? I entered it in the Authentication Code field, but got an error message saying, "The authentication code you entered is incorrect. Please try again."

I figured it out. Add an authenticator extension to your web browser, such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. The extension will let you scan the QR code by dragging a window around it with your mouse. Once you get confirmation that Concur was added, access the extension again and the 6-digit number will show. Type that into the Concur Two Factor Authenticator page, and you should be good to go. If your organization does not use single sign-on (SSO) for authentication, Box enables users to set up 2-factor authentication for their accounts. The first factor is a password. The second factor is a one-time password (OTP), which is the possession factor, and users can choose SMS or authenticator apps for their second factor. You can choose authenticator apps, SMS, or email for the second factor.

The administrator of your Box enterprise may require 2FA to be used for external collaborators. If so, the administrator may also require that the 2FA method be via an authenticator app, or the administrator may also allow 2FA via SMS.
