transfering ringtones to the ringdroid

I downloaded a text message tone and it is in my music folder but i
have no clue how to get it to ringdroid so i can use it as my text
tone so please help me someone...

You need to set it in the messaging app, not in ringdroid.
There is a folder for notifications, your tone should go in that folder.
I use Astro to move things around, but you can do it a lot of other ways.

Most stock messaging apps wont' allow the selection of custom ringtones. Either:
1) move the tone to where your phone keeps its tones, and it might find it the next time you reboot, or 
2) Download and use Handcent for your text messaging. It has a ringtone picker that will find your custom ringtones. If they're in the right places (there appears to be an issue with the HTC One M8)
