Hello Mahmoud, and hello dear friends,
I’m very happy to share this news with you, so please bear with me for the long post 🙂

Today in Niamey, I delivered Organizium, the first professional software written in Ring with Softanza as the backend, and a pure HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontend, to Sonibank, one of the largest financial institutions in the region.

Organizium is built primarily on the Graph Module of StzLib (stzGraph, stzOrgChart, stzDiagram, stzWorkflow, stzGraphRules, stzGraphSimulator, etc.). It provides a unique solution for auditing, modeling, and analyzing enterprise performance, covering both organizational charts and business workflows, and assessing their conformity with ISO standards and financial-sector best practices.

The story began when I suggested to this bank—my client for over 20 years, with whom I had developed dozens of business applications using WinDev—to adopt Ring instead of WinDev. After experimenting with Ring and finding it promising, they challenged me to propose a critical application that business users would truly adopt. If successful, Ring would naturally become a required technology for maintaining that application.

After six months of work—three of them dedicated to the Softanza Graph Module, as reflected in my GitHub activity—and many on-site interactions with the bank’s Human Capital and Organization teams, the software was delivered. Their feedback was exceptional: they described it as the best solution they have ever seen, compared to offerings from several international vendors.

Intentionally, the software is deployed under an open-source enterprise license, to demonstrate the power of Ring and StzLib, and to encourage their adoption and further development.

This mission continues next week with the training of three developers on the software’s codebase, the fundamentals and capabilities of Ring, and of course how StzLib elegantly enables all of this.

A standard, lightweight version will soon be published on GitHub, allowing the Ring community to see how the language can be leveraged to build critical business software in highly demanding domains, and to foster a spirit of engagement around Ring’s adoption across many fields.

PS:  The HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontend was largely generated (in a few weeks) through collaborative work with Claude and Gemini AI models, demonstrating how modern AI tools can effectively accelerate frontend development when combined with a solid architectural and domain-driven backend.

Below are a few snapshots of the software:

Hello Mahmoud,

Thank you very much!

I feel that Ring is a real enabler of success, and I hope the opportunity it offers to creative programmers to build truly transformative software will be captured by many more people.

Based on this humble experience, grounded in real facts and customer feedback (both in the ESPA-MT school and Sonibank Niger), I have a message for anyone with a business software idea: don’t hesitate. Bring Ring into the picture, craft clean code and beautiful design, use AI wisely and responsibly, and aim for the most demanding customers. You will convince them with Ring—and in many cases, you will outperform the competition.

In the next decade of Ring’s life, we should establish the language as a serious option for enterprise and education, among other domains. And yes, togethor, with the strong leadership of Mahmoud, we can do it.

All the best,
Mansour
