Hello everyone,

I'm excited to share a simple  tool that can generate Ring Code.

About 3 years ago, I was experimenting with Pure Basic (PB) programing language, and I made a simple html UI to change user input to PB Code. At the start of this week, I saw that file, and decided to do the same for ring programming Language. Some ideas were sourced from chatgpt.

Key Features
1. it generates a Quick starting Basic Working code
2. Customize for different widgets

Hello Tim

Thanks again for sharing :D

Ring comes with a Form Designer which already generates RingQt code
And using Qt for WebAssembly, we have online version from the Form Designer (See Ring website - Resources Seciton)

While such tools are very useful, in some projects, we just write the code directly to dynamically create the UI
Example: PWCT2 - Visual Components - UI:  PWCT2/src/vpl/ringpwct/forloop.ring at master · PWCT/PWCT2

In general, developing new tools is very fun and could be very useful to Ring developers if the tool fills a known gap

Suggestion: Ring comes with a (Form Designer) but doesn't come with a (Report Designer)
If you developed such a tool, it will be more useful/attractive to other developers

Check the next samples:

Building a report generator/viewer (using Code) on top of these samples then later building a report designer on top of the report generator, will provide a GREAT TOOL when developing database apps

Greetings,
Mahmoud
