Greetings neighbors and friends,
Sunday Streets comes back to the waterfront on Sunday from 10am until
3pm. This time, the route runs along 3rd Street from King Street (AT&T
Park, basically) south to Bayview. Learn more at
http://www.SundayStreetsSF.com
We need your and your neighbors help to ask State Senator Mark Leno
and Assemblymember Tom Ammiano to put in a good word with State Parks
regarding our application for Proposition 84 Grant funds for the
Harrison Street Park project (
http://www.harrisonstreetpark.com ).
I've written a sample letter that can be edited (or just plain copied
and pasted into your own email if you don't want to use the Change.org
web form I've set up), and the sample letter can be found at
http://www.change.org/petitions/view/ask_for_support_for_grant_application_for_harrison_street_park#
(an easier URL of
http://www.My94105.com should be working later
today). There are over 450 applications for these limited Proposition
84 grant funds .... Isabel Wade said we should aim for at least 300
letters to Senator Leno and Assemblyman Ammiano to let them know that
it is important to the Rincon HIll neighborhood to get a park for our
kids, dogs, and adults to enjoy nearby our homes along Harrison
Street. Please help spread the word!
Next Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association meeting is Tuesday, Mary 4th
at 6:30pm at The Infinity's Club Lounge. The main topic is
neighborhood safety and a secondary topic is the June 8th primary
election. Hope to see you there!
Have a nice weekend,
Jamie Whitaker
