Greetings,

Our neighbor Chris Jaksa provided some clarification to me regarding
the focus of this Wednesday's community meeting with Community Housing
Partnership and the architects for the supportive housing project on
Folsom Street at Essex. Chris wrote:

"the meeting on wednesday will discuss iterations on the proposed
plan, not simply a defense of the current rationale that excludes
retail frontage- we are expecting 100 % retail along folsom. this can
be done while still allowing chp to continue its mission to the
residents of the building."

I also want to clarify that this community meeting was not arranged by
the Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association in any way. While I did
represent RHNA at the Transbay CAC meeting a couple of weeks ago and
expressed dismay with the lack of community outreach for the presented
design's lack of 100% retail frontage on Folsom Street, please don't
assign any credit to RHNA for setting up this meeting - just playing
messenger here. This meeting was arranged by neighbors on 1st Street
and Lansing/Guy Place.

The meeting is Wednesday, February 24th at 6:30pm at The Metropolitan
(333 1st Street) in the Activity Room. Enter via 1st Street's
concierge monitored entry way to gain access to the Activity Room for
the meeting.

Hope to see you on Wednesday at The Met ... and also at the Rincon
Hill Neighborhood Association meeting on March 2nd at the Sailors'
Union of the Pacific.

Sincerely,

Jamie Whitaker
