While originally designed to be a multiplayer game, Ark: Survival Evolved by Studio Wildcard has gained a heavy following in the single-player and modding community in regard to cheat codes. This game allows you to explore vast maps and train dinosaurs and other creatures to fulfill your every whim.

While the base game may offer tons of fun, sometimes, you just want to experiment with cheat codes. Here, we are going to take a look at the best cheat codes that you can use in a single-player game of Ark: Survival Evolved. Cheats can be used on Playstation, Xbox, and PC, but keep in mind that the mobile version doesn't have this capability.

Updated September 19, 2023 by Jacqueline Zalace: We've added even more cheat codes that work great in a single-player game of Ark: Survival Evolved. Now, you can find cheats for pretty much any situation.

GiveDinoSet is a cheat that will make it so you automatically have a ride to your next destination. It will spawn a set of dinos with saddles, and you can choose which one spawns, as well as a specific number.

Those who use the GiveItem cheat will receive any item that they specify on the command line, meaning you can arm yourself with weapons or give yourself specific building pieces as needed.

If you type '0' at the end, you will just gain the item, but if you type '1', you will receive the blueprint. There are a lot of items with complex item IDs, so we suggest heading to the wiki, where every item ID has been listed.

It can take time to unlock all of the Engrams in the game, which is why these two cheat codes exist. The GiveEngrams cheat will unlock all of the Engrams, so you no longer have to pick and choose which ones to give yourself. It also is great for those who want a more creative single-player experience.

InfiniteStats (and GiveInfiniteStatsToTarget), when applied, gives you unlimited health, oxygen, stamina, food, and water. This is useful if you find yourself somewhere cold without a fur coat, or if you're too far from safe water to get a drink.

The danger in using this is that you can still die, but you won't have to worry about upgrading your character stats. Fortunately, that's where the God cheat comes in handy. This will negate all types of damage besides drowning, allowing you to fall from great distances and not worry about eating.

As with most games, there are going to be times when Ark: Survival Evolved goes a little bit wrong. There are places where you can clip into the environment, or where you slip in between two rocks and can't get a purchase to jump or climb your way out.

To turn Fly off again, you can input the command Walk. But if you haven't done anything to alter your stats, make sure that you're not too far from the ground when you do it, or you might meet a messy end.

There are times in Ark that your life will flash before your eyes, and no matter how fast or how long you run, the end seems to not be in sight. Sometimes, you'll notice a pair of Alphas on the horizon and realize you have no way home but through them. If you're not in the mood to lose everything, look to EnemyInvisible.

Sometimes you head out with the express intention to tame one specific kind of creature, and it's vanished off the face of the world. When that happens, you can use Summon with the creature ID to have one pop into existence in front of you. Below, you can check out the code to summon an untamed dung beetle.

If you have an overwhelming urge to tame your own effective dodo army and you don't want to have to chase down, pummel, and feed them all, then DoTame and ForceTame are your best friends. These two cheats both work a little differently, and which you choose depends a lot on what you want to use the creature for.

DoTame will tame whatever creature that you're looking at, immediately, if it can be tamed normally. ForceTame will do the same thing, whether it is tameable or not, and will also allow you to ride it immediately as if it's got a saddle on.

SetTargetDinoColor is a cheat that requires a little bit of research to use and has no real strategic use, but if you're somebody who likes to have color-coordinated tames and the prettiest argent (no judgment), it's certainly worthy of note.

Each creature in the game has up to six color regions, and each of them can be assigned one of a hundred color IDs; this cheat is that it allows you to apply colors that won't occur on a given species either naturally or through breeding.

With this cheat, you also have the option to specify the quantity. For example, if you type in '12' after GiveColors, you will get 12 of each dye type. This dye can be used to customize your wardrobe, or just to complete your storage collection.

If you're more interested in taming and exploring than the survival aspects of Ark, one helpful cheat is GiveArmorSet and GiveWeaponSet. These commands will give you a full set of armor in one of the following types.

Lost your gear miles and miles away from your spawn point, in a very awkward location full of jellyfish or raptors? Haven't got a good flyer to get back there quickly? If you're a casual player, consider teleporting.

Creative Mode eliminates weight restrictions, opens up all engrams for use, makes crafting work instantaneously, removes material requirements, and applies the cheats 'Fly', 'InfiniteStats', and 'GodMode.' It also gives you the Blink Rifle, which lets you teleport around from point A to point B, so long as you can see where you're aiming.

Is the game still a bit too easy for you? Thankfully, there is a cheat for that. By changing the difficulty of the game, you can add or remove some unneeded stress. There are two steps to this cheat; first, just enter it into the game.

Once you've done so, you will need to use "DestroyWildDinos" which, as its name implies, destroys all wild dinos. This allows new dinos with the correct difficulty to spawn in. These new creatures are stronger and can drop better loot.

If you are constantly hitting your carrying capacity, you can rest easy with this cheat. By simply typing in this, you can rid yourself of a carrying capacity. This is especially helpful if you are hauling heavy materials.

Nighttime can be scary, especially if you don't have a good base yet. If waiting it out isn't your style, you can simply play god and skip it. To do so, enter this cheat code, as well as the time of day that you want.

Lastly, we have the slomo cheat. This will speed up or slow down the game, depending on what you enter as the multiplier. '1' is the default speed; if you increase this, the game would go faster. If, on the other hand, you use a smaller number, the game would get slower.

Enable server administrator commands for the current player. The password provided should match the server's ServerAdminPassword option (see Server configuration). In single player games you don't need this command, see the introduction above.

This Command allows you to put Status Effects on yourself or the dino you're riding use the Admin Blink Rifle (Inspect Mode) or PC/Mouse And KeyBoard for console and type in ListMyBuffs to find the Buff ID's.

Adds the specified item (or its blueprint) to the player's inventory in the specified quantity and with the specified quality.
This is a shortcut version for GiveItem. But instead of the complete blueprint path it is sufficient to specify only a significant part of it.
E.g. the blueprint path of the Tek ATV end in PrimalItemVHBuggy. You can use "vhbuggy" or "vhb" or "buggy" or "bugg" or "uggy" or... On the other hand "atv" will not work because it's the name of the item but not a part of the blueprint path.
For ambiguous parts you will maybe not get the item you want. Instead you get one that the search mechanism finds first. E.g. for Bug Repellant (PrimalItemConsumable_BugRepellant) you can't just say "bug" because this part is also included in "buggy". You will get the Tek ATV in this case. But "bugr" is specific enough to find definitely the Bug Repellant.
To specify items by their item number, use GiveItemNum.
To give items to another player, use GiveItemToPlayer.

Despite the name of the command, it doesn't actually hatch the egg you are looking at but only set its incubating progress to 0% meaning that you still need the appropriate temperature for it to properly hatch. If the temperature is not adequate, the egg will have the "broken icon" and you won't be able to consume it after performing this command.

Repairs all structures in given radius around player. Only seems to work on structures that have been damaged since last server/session restart? Can be used to repair bugged resource nodes (for example to resolve bug of stop spawning of metal in single player and non-dedicated/temporary servers)?

Opens the admin manager GUI, which gives you easy access to a number of useful admin things. It shows your player's current position, some useful server info, key server configurations, a list of currently logged in players, a list of banned players, a list of whitelisted players, allows you to modify the MoTD, and shows you a list of a good amount (but not all) admin commands. If you select a player in the connected player's list, you can easily copy their UE4 player ID (a 10 digit number) into a command's parameters for commands that require a player ID. Supposedly you should also be able to copy their Int64 encoded Steam ID for commands that require it, but it seems to be broken at the moment. Use the ListPlayers command or grep the server's save files to get a player's Int64 encoded Steam ID.

Adds the player specified by the their Integer encoded ARK account ID to the server's whitelist. Note that for Steam accounts such ID is the Steam ID itself and is typically 17 digits long (although 16 digits is theoretically possible), while Epic account IDs are of 19 digits.
