REM sleep: At the end of our cycle, we actually enter a light stage of sleep. This is when, as the name suggests, our eyes dart up and down and all around, and is most likely when dreaming occurs. Blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing all begin to increase

Yes, you can sleep for 8 hours and still feel tired. Even though you got the amount of rest that health experts recommend, you likely woke up toward the end of a sleep cycle. The length of these cycles can vary. We mentioned earlier that a complete cycle could last from 90 to 110 minutes. The duration of each stage can vary too, further affecting the cycle duration. Each person is different, and therefore, you cannot count down a cycle to the exact minute. Instead, these numbers represent a general observation from health experts to help people better understand how we rest.

does plexamp have a timer to shutdown or stop after a certain time I haven't been able to find one. I listen to audio books while trying to go to sleep it would be useful to be able to turn its self off

Create a Routine on the Google Home app with a single action command of 'Stop Playing'. Additionally create a starter on the routine for when you want the routine to action of a set time of day, e.g. for instance at 22:00 or of course whatever time would be more suitable. Then the music or sleep sounds will stop when the routine activates at that set time every day or night. Not perfect but the best you can do until this bug is fixed.

Be careful. I use the stop playing function in the timer for whatever is playing as I fall asleep. The problem is the next time I go to use the timer say for cooking or something that I need an actual alarm to go off, I often forget to switch it from the stop playing mode. This results in there being no actual alarm sounding at the end of my timer. I would much prefer A shortcut that is just for the stop playing.

Hello everyone. I prepare program for my arduino project. It is music player. I wanna add 'sleep timer' function my program. Sleep timer is as you know from Spotify, It'll stop your music after you sleep. Yeah l know it is complicated but i need just when i press button1 then count 30 minute then send 'sleep' command to Hc-o5 bluetooth module (call BluetoothClient1 send text). I am able to connect bluetooth and send another signal or anything but i dont know how can i make minute counter and when minute == 0 then send command. If you help me, I'll so glad. Thanks. Regards Farhad

My assumption for this output would be that the time between each line would have to be exactly 5000 milliseconds plus the time it takes to execute the rest of the loop which could vary given that there could be an unknown delay due to disk IO. My problem is that looking at lines 10 and 11 and subtracting gives me a difference of 4,958 milliseconds. So my question is what the heck is going on there? How is it possible to get a difference of less than 5000 milliseconds when I have told the thread to sleep for 5000 milliseconds before completing the process. What am I missing?

First, understand that all major operating systems, especially those with multitasking capabilities will never be capable of landing timers down to the millisecond. The architecture simply doesn't support it.

One of the common complaints about computers is that their battery life isn't always the best. As a result, people may find themselves frequently needing to charge their devices. When this happens at an inconvenient time, it can throw a wrench in your plans. There are several ways to help extend your computer's battery life, but a simple one is using a sleep timer.

A sleep timer is a function that dictates how long your computer will sit idle before going into power-saving mode. Your computer is considered to be idle if there is no movement occurring on the screen.

So, for example, you could instruct your computer to have a five-minute sleep timer, which means after five means of idle time, it will automatically go into power-saving mode. This can help prolong your battery life.

If you want to have a longer battery life on your device, employing the sleep timer is a great way to do so. You set your computer to a specific duration of time, and after that amount of time has passed, your device will automatically shut off.
