Hey everyone, This is the place to request an exploded wallpaper for your ThinkPad(s), featuring any ThinkPad(s) I can find a HMM for! I decided to make this post after receiving a few requests within hours of posting my own here. If you would like a wallpaper, please comment using the following format: (ThinkPad models you would like on your wallpaper, from left to right), resolution (up to 16384x12288), and special requests (red TrackPoints, ThinkPad logo etc.) Upvotes are greatly appreciated! Thanks all!

One of r/thinkpad members contacted with me and asked me to share my ThinkPad wallpaper collection as archives. I had some free time this weekend and decided to prepare a simple website, where I could store not only wallpapers, but also customization files. After some research, I've found that Google offers 15GB space, simple site creator and don't require to own any domain.

As the result, I've put together a simple website with customization files - themes, wallpapers, OEM Information files and the other. I've also added some information regarding their location in filesystem.

In the context of technology and computing, wallpaper refers to the background image or pattern displayed on a computer screen. It's the image you see behind your desktop icons and open windows. You can personalize this image to suit your taste or mood.

Absolutely, you can use any image as your computer wallpaper. Just make sure it's in a compatible format like joint photographic experts' group (JPEG) or portable network graphics (PNG), and ideally, it should be high resolution for the best visual effect. You can choose personal photos, digital art, scenic landscapes, or anything else that suits your style.

To change your desktop wallpaper in Windows, right-click anywhere on your desktop and select "Personalize". Then click on "Background" and choose a picture from your files or select one of the default images. You can also adjust how the image fits on your screen.

Generally, changing your wallpaper doesn't significantly affect your computer's performance. However, if you use a very high-resolution image or a live wallpaper, it might consume more system resources. But for standard static wallpaper, you shouldn't notice any difference in performance.

Dynamic wallpaper is a type of wallpaper that changes throughout the day based on the time. For instance, during the day, the wallpaper might show a sunny landscape, and at night, it switches to a starry sky. This feature creates a more interactive and engaging user experience.

Yes, you can set a video as your wallpaper using specific software, like video LAN client (VLC) media player or Wallpaper Engine. These programs allow you to use a video file or even an animated gif as your background. However, keep in mind that this will use more system resources than a static image.

If your laptop has an organic light emitting diode (OLED) or active-matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) screen, using a darker wallpaper can indeed save battery. These types of screens only light up the colored pixels, so black pixels are essentially off, using less power. However, if you have a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen, the backlight is always on, so the wallpaper color won't make a difference.

Live wallpapers are animated or interactive backgrounds for your desktop. They could be three-dimensional (3D) animations, videos, or even web-based applications. While they make your desktop more dynamic, they also consume more system resources, especially if they're complex or high resolution.

Yes, you can have a different wallpaper on each of your monitors. In Windows, you can do this by right-clicking on your desktop, selecting "Personalize", then "Background", and choosing a different image for each monitor. This can help you customize your workspace to your liking.

In the context of mobile devices, wallpaper is the background image or pattern displayed behind your apps and widgets. Like on a computer, you can personalize this image to your liking, and many devices also allow for live or dynamic wallpaper.

Yes, you can set a slideshow as your wallpaper on your computer. In Windows, you can achieve this by selecting a folder instead of a single image when you're setting your wallpaper. The system will then cycle through all the images in that folder at a frequency you choose.

Live wallpaper can indeed drain your phone's battery faster than static wallpaper. This is because they require more processing power to animate, especially if they're complex or high resolution. However, the impact on battery life will depend on your specific device and wallpaper.

You can make your own wallpaper using any graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop or even free online tools like Canva. You just need to ensure that the image is of a high enough resolution to look good on your screen and that it's in a compatible format.

Using an HTML page as your wallpaper is possible but requires specific software. Programs like WallpaperWebPage for Windows allow you to set a webpage as your desktop background. This could be useful if you want to have constant access to a specific website.

If the image you want to use as your wallpaper doesn't fit your screen, you can adjust the settings in your system preferences. You could choose to stretch, fill, fit, tile, or center the image. However, stretching an image might distort it, so it's best to use an image with a resolution that matches your screen.

Parallax wallpaper is a type of interactive wallpaper that moves slightly as you tilt your phone or tablet. This creates an illusion of depth and makes your device's background more dynamic and engaging. This feature is available on many modern smartphones and tablets.

The terms "wallpaper" and "theme" are often used interchangeably, but they refer to two different things. Wallpaper is just the background image on your desktop or mobile device. A theme, on the other hand, is a broader term that refers to the overall look and feel of your device's user interface. This includes the wallpaper, but also things like color schemes, icon styles, and sound effects.

Changing your wallpaper often doesn't directly drain your battery faster, but the process of loading a new wallpaper does use a small amount of power. However, this effect is negligible compared to the power used by other functions of your phone. What could impact your battery life more significantly is if you're frequently changing between light and dark wallpaper and you have a device with an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen, as these screens use less power to display black pixels.

I ended up changing my wallpaper from the Vibrant 2 wallpaper to this Mojave x Framework one I made as the vibrant one was too bright at night for my eyes.
If you want this style for a WinDynamicDesktop wallpaper, I made one here.
