Fandis has expanded the range of colors of its plastics, creating the FF series filter fan units with ANSI 61 grey which, with RAL 7035, are the most common colors in North America, where the company is also present with its own branch.
In the United States, the American National Standards Institute, better known as ANSI, is a private non-profit organization that defines industrial standards. He is a member of ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). His task is to coordinate about a thousand companies, organizations, government agencies, and other institutional members, to agree on the parameters to be adopted in the most disparate fields, from construction to information technology.
Today, specific color standards have been identified by the main trade associations: ANSI and IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) have defined, among others, the standard for low voltage electrical panels enclosed in metal through the 2002 edition of C37.20.1: the preferred color for the finish on switchgear assemblies seems to be precisely the light grey n. 61 according to ASTM D1535-1997.
The growing interest in the American market, justified by the presence of Fandis North America, as we have said, has led us to develop a certain sensitivity towards the regulatory requirements of this market for the switchboard sector.
