client and server side seperation

how do you separate the client side and server side code...or how to tell dart/rikulo what goe where?

There are a lot of approaches. However, there are variant clients nowadays, such as ios, android, browser... If you plan to support them (now or future), you can design the server as a RESTful server handling JSON input and generating JSON output.
