To all,
RIIPL has taken a leadership role in conjunction with ECRI to organize activity state-wide for 350.org (October 24). Come to the planning meeting on Sept 3 if you can to represent your congregation,
Peace
Howie

350.org  http://www.350.org/about    is an organization dedicated to reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.  Moving us from the current 387 Parts Per Million towards 350ppm (hence the name)

350.org is calling for a national day of action around climate on October 24, with as many events as possible.  .  Several of us have agreed to catalyze an event in RI on October 24.  The first planning meeting for the event will be Thursday Sept 3  9 AM at 17 Gordon Ave in Providence.  Please attend, please share this information with anyone who might also wish to participate in the planning or the event.  Any questions, get back to me at the ECRI office.  greg

Howie, I'm not sure what will be happening on October 24, but I know Bill McKibben's 350.org is good for the environment and needs support. I'll be at the ECRI meeting on Sept 3 and take it from there.

Me, too, and I'll be representing the Newport Commission, as of last night. Anyone want to carpool from the island?

Beth
