2.when i try to add this new printer in the printer and scanners windows, it asks for a driver. i tried finding the driver on the hp website where i found a file named LJP1100_P1560_P1600_FW_Upgrade_20180302.dmg
Then, Install the best available HP print driver and software on your Mac using Apple Software Update. Before installing the software, turn on the printer and make sure it is connected to the computer you want to print or scan from, either with a USB cable or through your local Wi-Fi or wired network.
Since October 2016, HP printer software packages are no longer delivered through Apple Software Update. Visit 123.hp.com to download the latest HP software for your printer. Alternatively, if your printer supports Apple AirPrint, you do not need a driver to print from your Mac or iOS device. For more information, go to About AirPrint (in English).
I am currently using Mac OS BigSur Beta 11.0 Version 20A5395g.. In this version I was using HP LaserJet Pro P1108 Printer for a few weeks without any issue. Today when I tried to print a document then a message was shown that HPRaster.bundle will damage your computer and I was unable to print the document. I tried HP Easy Start as well as downloaded the driver software frrom HP Official Website but when I am trying to install the software named HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dmg then a pop up is being shown that "This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
That's why I am unable to install the printer driver and use the same. Please help how I can install the printer software and use it again. There is no issues with my Printer because I have checked that from my other devices like iMac & my another windows PC. So I think the problem lies in my MacBook Pro.. It's unable to install the printer software somehow..
Actually I deleted the HPRaster.bundle file on that day when I first encountered this problem. Then I uninstalled the HP Printer Software entirely from my laptop. I also deleted the printer from the list in System Preferences and then downloaded the HP Printer Driver from HP Official Website. I want a fresh installation of the required softwares and drivers but when I am trying to install the Printer Driver downloaded from HP Official website then the message is showing that "This volume does not meet the requirements for this update." I am attaching the screenshot here..
Another problem is also there. When I am adding a new printer from system preferences then the same printer is successfully being added but when I am trying to take print out then it is not responding and no printing at all.
Yes. No doubt it's a big problem that needs immediate action either by Apple or on behalf of HP to resolve this matter.. Actually I have one iMac 2017 model which runs on mac OS Catalina 10.5.7 but I have faced no problem to uninstall the HP Printer Driver & reinstalling the same. The HP Laserjet Pro Printer is working fine. But in my MacBook Pro running on Big Sur Beta 11.0 the same driver is not being installed and the printer can't be used . Don't know why.. Perhaps the problem lies in the latest version of Big Sur.
No. My problem has not been resolved yet. Till date I am unable to install the driver for HP Laserjet Pro P1108. I have tried every possible way but it didn't work. Yesterday I received the official version of macOS Big Sur. Previously I was using the beta one. Anyways. I will keep on continuing the same procedure to install and make it work at any cost. Apple should look into this matter. This is too much frustrating.
People who are going through this conversation please suggest any alternative to resolve the matter . If you are facing the same problem mention that in reply. This thing should be notified to the developers of Apple. Come on guys..

I am in the same boat with the issue of not being able to reinstall the drivers. One suggestion I got that worked in one of my computers was to restore the "hp" folder in /Library/Printers/ from a Time machine backup prior to October 23. That worked in one of my computers but not in the other one. I am guessing we will need to wait until HP updates the driver package so that it can be installed in Big Sur. Now that Big Sur is officially out, I suggest we all contact HP with the issue so that they update the drivers.
Yes. You are right. I have thought that earlier but didn't contact with HP because I was waiting for the Official version of Big Sur. Now it has been released still the same problem is there. So now we can inform the matter to HP..
Exactly. Me too facing the same issue. Don't know when and how I will get rid of this. I have also submitted my feedback to Apple describing the problem. Hope they will respond and find me the solution. I suggest you guys to contact with Apple regarding this matter. Otherwise it won't be resolved.
The problem is that you downloaded the incompatible Big Sur installation file. After an extensive search, I have found a link to download the installation package directly from HP (released on 11/20/2020)
Thanks sccottsteg for finding those drivers! That worked for me where nothing else did. FYI, copying in the finder did give me an error but I downloaded the free version of FileZilla, pasted that link into the host field, dragged the file to my download folder and it worked like a charm. I was just about to buy a new printer too but now I don't need to. Thanks again!!
I tried to install my printer(HP Laserjet P1108) on windows 10 but it didn't work. First, I tried to install the drivers from the CD that came with the printer, and at last, it says printer installation failed. Then I install the drivers from the official website of HP . then when I executed the program it ran well at the beginning but at last, it said a "new printer was not installed ". I have tried every method to install the printer drivers, but these are not installed on windows 10. I also tried troubleshooting and adding a printer manually, but still it doesn't work. Now please tell me what should I do further to fix the problem.
