hello Hiten...

The idea of a discussion group is a nice one but such
discussions often tend to be non-productive...
so before forming any such discussion club, in my
view, we should have a firm motive in mind... there
should be something constructive coming out of the
discussions and any idea that seems to be a genuinely
good one must be implemented for the benefit of all...

Hello Friends,
I am not sure how many people are in the group although a head count and a
brief introduction of everyone will be appreciated.
I like the group as they are the same like minded thinking people. I have a
proposal for all those who are intrested in pursuing their quest for
knowledge and networking.
"The Plan" I have in mind is as below.
1) Have an e-mail discussion group, that is made up of commited people and
innovative people.
e.g. a group has nine members
Roles of the group members
a) A Discussion owner
b) A Discussion moderator
c) A Discussion grammarian
d) A Discussion participant
e) A Discussion audience
f) A Discussion think tank
g) A Discussion secretary.
Responsibilities of the group are as follows:
a) A Discussion owner: Person who decides the subject for discussion and
presents his/her thought on the subject. Does research on the subject and
writes a small paper about it following the guidelines
i) The Reason for the subject
ii) The Observation about it
iii) The Changes he/she desires
iv) The information to share with it
v) Past/Present/Future impact it may have.
vi) Conclusion with proper justification.
b) A Discussion Moderator: Person who monitors the weekly discussion net
meetings and records his/her observations about how each one is presenting
his/her views and can they be modified. Oversees the participation of others
in the group.
c) A Discussion grammarian: Looks into the language used by us in
communicating and comments on the improvement in the presentation
d) A Discussion participant: Reads the "Discussion owners" paper and does
counter re-search and looks in opposite direction with other paths/views to
solve the same subject.
e) A Discussion audience; Reads and gets educated on the subject.
f) A Discussion think tank: Provides the input to improve on the club
involvement and generates new methods of bridging the gap. Works towards
achieving positive results in our lives through the club.
g) A Discussion Secretary who keep track of weekly involvement of all the
club members.
Method of Operation:
Each Week:
A Discussion Owner registers with the secretary and notifies him/her about
the subject
A Discussion Moderator notifies the secretary of the responsibility he/she
takes
Other members notify the secretary of their desire to be on as the
participant or the grammarian or audience.
Now the post of secretary is fixed on monthly basis and other posts keep
revolving each week.
Subjects can be anything,
Economics, Philosophy, Self-Improvement, Love, War etc..
Moreover you can have a continuation in the subjects like Economics 101 and
then Economics 102.
Please feel free to ask questions. What do you say guys, anyone up for the
challenge. I am thinking out of the box, although I think it is time that we
start thinking innovatively and create something new.
Any takers for this club.
With Peace and Love,
Hiten Shah.
