State Level Organic Farmers Convention at Bhubaneswar on 27th October

Greetings from Agragamee!

I take pleasure in announcing that Agragamee will organise a State Level Farmers Convention on 27th October at Bhubaneswar. If you know a progressive Organic Farmer, please ask him/her to send me a communication/ Expression of Interest so that I shall invite him/her properly. The participation in this Convention is by Invitation Only.

This Convention is very significant as the Government and NGOs are surging ahead with the implementation of Paramparagat Krishi Vikash Yojana(PKVY) which, in other words,  is Organic Farming/Natural Farming. In this programme, there is total  prohibition of  Chemical Fertilisers and Pesticides and more emphasis on local indigenous seeds. More over, the Government of Odisha is about to finalise the  State Organic Farming Policy. The context is also relevant as our Agrarian Crisis is deepening on all counts.We need to discuss and debate and listen to Policy Makers and Experts.
