Hi,
I'm currently looking into this and should hopefully have a fixed version soon.

Hi,
I've uploaded a new 0.23.1 version that should fix the problem
you were having. There was a problem with the jar file that was
including in the linux version and it needed rebuilding. The new
linux version is now at
https://bitbucket.org/fairdom/rightfield/downloads/rightfield-0.23.1.tar.gz
and includes an executable rightfield.sh. You should be able to
run this with just
./rightfield.sh
or
sh ./rightfield.sh
Apologies for the problem you were having.
Stuart.
Hi,
I've tried this out myself, and had no problem connecting to bioportal. The url https://bioportal.bioontology.org/ works fine, as does their API. Is it possible there was simply a problem with Bioportal or you network at the time? Are you able to contact https://bioportal.bioontology.org/ now?
Regarding opening an Ontology with a URL, the URL needs to point to an ontology file, usually OWL - for example: http://www.mygrid.org.uk/ontology/JERMOntology
regards,
Stuart
