Great tip. Thnx. But does anybody know of a way to get safari to start in this true fullscreen mode without everything - without manually right-clicking the toolbar and selecting hide? I have been using SAFT until now, but with Lion i am not sure the developer bothers to make a fullscreen update for us customers.

Thanks Aikasse, I spent quite a few time thinking why it is possible in fullscreen mode of firefox to hide everything, but not in the fullscreen mode of safari... I really looked hard to find an option to hide tab bar, toolbar of safari in screen mode, finally I have come across your tip... But now, say that I would like to bring toolbar back after some time in fullscreen mode, then when I go to that gray zone above adress bar, now I double-click and nothing appears... So, I have to go to View-Customize toolbar, and only after toolbar comes back... Is there other way around it?

I want this too! This is how full screen mode in Windows version of Safari, so why did they make it different in the Lion version? It's not consistent implementation and kind of strange - why would you need it to show if you can get to it by moving your mouse to the top of your screen.

Apple should at least provide an option to either auto hide or always show - like the "Always Show Bookmarks Bar" setting under view. It would be interesting to know why they chose not to offer this option.

It's also strange that they didn't impement full screen mode on the iPad. On the iPod touch the toolbar auto hides (I would like to see this as an option on the iPad). It's another inconsistency that is very weird to me.

I was looking for a solution to get Safari to open an url and go full screen without any toolbars or anything. Getting the first part is no problem. The issue is that the menu item "Hide toolbar" is in active when Safari is in fullscreen.

As described in earlier replies one can do this by control click on the toolbar and choose hide toolbar but I needed it to be automatically. Accessibility Inspector (which is a small app included in XCode) to the rescue. With this I could start exploring the UI elements of the Safari window. I got everything up and running in plain mode but nothing in fullscreen mode. This was because Safari re arranged the UI elements when it moves to full screen mode. (Some hours of head scratching...)

Well, for Windows users, you are able to get it to be clean except it will show you the currently open tabs. As you simply go to View and click hide on all available toolbars etc. To undo the hiding where you can resume viewing the address bar and others, you simply press Alt. and go to View and select Show ______bar etc. until you have all of the desired toolbars. I'm not sure how it is for Mac users or on any other software.... And I know this is a ridiculously late response, but hopefully it helps someone else trying to fix this same issue later on. ^.^ Good luck!

Well, we should bear in mind that the company does need to write a different code for Safari for each device and all that. It can't be easy to get them all to be the same with every feature, but isn't that what updates are for?

Changing your Netflix region is easy and free if you have access to a VPN that lets you pick and choose your server location. All it takes is a few clicks and you can enjoy your favorite Netflix shows while traveling. It's important to note that using a VPN may violate Netflix's terms and conditions, and you may receive a warning message if you try to watch Netflix with a VPN.

Are you out of the country right now and want to change your Netflix region immediately? With Avast SecureLine VPN you can choose from dozens of secure server locations across 5 continents, select your location of choice, bypass geo-blocks, and visit any website as if you were at home.

A VPN can unblock websites too, making it the perfect tool for students seeking specific educational content, as well as journalists, activists, whistleblowers, and anyone looking to avoid censorship. And remember, the physical distance between yourself and the VPN server location plays a role in connection speed, so selecting a server nearby can help speed up your VPN connection.

An important difference between Smart DNS and a VPN is that Smart DNS doesn't encrypt your traffic or hide your IP address. While Smart DNS will get the job done for changing your Netflix region, it does not offer the privacy and security benefits of a VPN.

Netflix claims that using a VPN to access Netflix will hide regional content and allow you to stream series and films that are only available globally. But there is some uncertainty around this, because the latest VPN protocols can mimic regular internet connections, which prevents them from being detected and blocked by governments, ISPs, or other authorities.

Netflix recommends that if you want to permanently change your Netflix region, you should cancel your account, wait until the end of your billing period, and then reactivate your account from your new home country.

The Netflix catalog varies from one country to another due to licensing and copyright restrictions, local broadcasting regulations, and company preferences. Determining the best Netflix catalog depends on your personal preferences.

Surprisingly, not all Netflix originals are available worldwide, despite the fact that Netflix owns the global rights for most of them. Sometimes this is because the film or series was created before Netflix was available in that region or because another company already has rights to the title for a specific region.

Download Avast SecureLine VPN to bypass geo-restricted content and enjoy lightning-quick, HD streaming on up to 10 devices at once. On top of complete access to your favorite shows, a VPN hides your location from snoops and encrypts all your internet traffic to keep your personal data secure. Install Avast SecureLine VPN today.

I have a problem where in I end up killing a lot of time binge watching shows on netflix and then I later regret doing that. So I'd like to hide the shows I get addicted to - in this instance "Arrow".

It sounds like you might be looking to hide the whole bob-overlay container that contains the element with aria-label="Arrow". CSS can't select a parent from a child, but you can do that pretty easily with Javascript. Install a userscript manager like Tampermonkey, then search for elements matching a[aria-label="Arrow"], find their ancestor .bob-overlays, and remove them (or set their display to none):

Hi, my Netflix account through my sky package has been hacked, email address changed and profile locked. The Netflix account through my true email account is now showing no active account and asks me to subscribe. I've managed to find out what the email address they've changed it to is (someone in Columbia) but despite a couple of attempts with Netflix customer support they say they can't do anything without a service code. I can't access the service code as it's locked on the profile page and not the Netflix home page so going around in circles. Sky tell me to contact netflix, Netflix to contact sky. Can anyone help in delinking this rogue account from my sky package so my proper one can be relinked, with new password! I don't want to have to reset the entire box if possible. Thanks

Thanks, all sorted how. It was locked on their profile page so couldn't kick them out. Managed to get the service code through the up up, down, down etc hack from another thread which also showed what email address they'd changed my account to. With that info netlix were then able to remove them and change it back to my email which then recognised I had a subscription with them through sky.

I pay nef flix direct and Rogers cannot account as to where my money is going. I have spent days on the phone, countless times and to date no action has been taken. I was told I would be reimbursed but nothing yet and I am still being billed. My mother has been charged this $20.99 for over a year now. She doesn't even have a netflix account.

@Donnie51 This has happened to others as well. (Sorry for the Google search link. That's so that you can see posts that have been archived here.). These charges can occur when you select the "Join Now" button on the Netflix app rather than the sign-in button. Others have reported this happening due to fraudulent activity, presumably if the Rogers account gets compromised.

To get these charges stopped, you will need to figure out the service code and email address for the Netflix account that got created. You will then need to contact Netflix to get the (fraudulent) account shut down, and also contact Rogers to stop the Netflix billing on your account and to get the charges reversed.

If you subscribe to Netflix Rogers Billing and forget the email address or username associated with your Netflix account, you can retrieve it by accessing the Netflix app on your Ignite TV box or Ignite Streaming. Once you are in the Netflix app, choose a profile and click Get Help. Highlight the Member section, the email address listed is your username. If the Netflix app has since been logged out of, contact Netflix Help for assistance.

There is an instruction set somewhere in the forum to find the rogue Netflix email address so that you can cancel the service for that account, and it goes something like the instructions that I posted above. Essentially, sign out of Netflix and then "you can retrieve the rogue email account address by accessing the Netflix app on your Ignite TV box or Ignite Streaming. Once you are in the Netflix app, choose a profile and click Get Help. Highlight the Member section, the email address listed is your username. If the Netflix app has since been logged out of, contact Netflix Help for assistance. Or, use the bottom instruction set, posted immediately above this paragraph to sign into your Rogers account, navigate to the overview tab and then select the Netflix badge and select Let's go. I'm guessing that it should show two email addresses?? Yours and the rogue email address? Just a guess. Hopefully you can identify the rogue address and use that to cancel the service with Rogers.
