I'm trying to model a pipe route in the new MEP modeler in Archicad 27. Unfortunately, I can't enter the pipe slope in any way. There is a field to enter the slope in the infobox, but I can't type anything in it (see attached pic). It can't be done in 2D or 3D. The slope of the pipe cannot be entered either when editing a finished route (I can only manually edit the heights of individual junctions, but this does not allow me to work with a specific slope in %, or I would have to manually calculate the heights).
I have read on another thread that the MEP modeler for ArchiCAD 27 has been completely rewritten with a new element structure, thus rendering pre-27 models incompatible. While the pre-27 elements will be converted to simple objects, they are left on a virtual island of obsolescence.
The disappointed is the loss of production time for our MEP modelers. What is a firm to do with this staff until the new version is released? From the users perspective it really appears to be insufficient testing and a deficit in quality assurance before product release. What was the point of releasing an evaluation version of the software if the discoveries were not addressed? An incomplete package is really useless for us. The software will sit dormant until a complete package is provided...
1.) showing the stable link between archicad and d5 render (it is a teamwork file in archicad)
2.) you can see 3 spotlights in the model that i placed there as a reference
3.) the coordinates of the linked archicad model are: x -19778 y -35940 z -1080
4.) i close d5 after saving the file (on a NAS file server that is permanetly connected)
5.) i closed archicad
6.) i reopen archicad
7.) start d5 from the archicad palette
8.) chose the d5 file that i saved before
9.) start the sync in archicad
10.) the synced model is now on these coordinates: x -39556 y -71880 z -2160 (exactly the double numbers from the coordinates before). You can see the 3 spotlights in the topview.
