Hmm. It's approaching 2 years since I published anything in here, social media fans? (How things.) And as you might expect, a lot has changed since. Not least my reasons for the extended silence. (I can go into the Whys & Wherefores of course, just let me know if you're 'that' interested.) Safe to say, I am still quite glowing from a meeting, first mooted over 6 months ago now. Which 'finally' came to fruition last week, at the Friends Meeting House, just 'round the corner' on Euston Road. Indeed, many thanks again to my good LinkedIn connection John Bath, who stuck with it (and me) through said period of tricky organising, in the end introducing me to industry marketing heavyweight, Andrew Marsden. (Now also a highly prized connection.) It's one of those key defining type meetings I won't be forgetting in a hurry.
Importantly, the resulting discussion ended up being a timely reminder.. that although I have (and have always had) an interest in what makes brands tick, there are various levels at which one can declare oneself a professional expert in (brand) strategy, consulting, etc. Luckily enough - and with my comparatively novice level of experience laid bare - I was not in fact laughed out of the room? Moreover, we all seemed confident enough for me to pitch myself hereon in, firmly at the SME & Startup market. Who can really benefit from my brand design solutions!
