It is very important to review all of your parking details before purchasing your time. Parking session cannot be adjusted once started. Should you start a session on the wrong license plate, you will need to immediately start another session with the correct license plate number. If Parking Enforcement Officers are not able to match the license plate on your vehicle with the transaction data, you will receive a citation.

How can I add more time to a session?
If your time expired, visit any meter in the park. Note that each purchase starts the time over, so you should wait until your current time is about to expire to purchase again. For an easier alternative, use Parking Kitty and add more time to your session at any time, from anywhere.

If you are driving to Niagara Falls, NY, there are several ways to access the park and plenty of parking options. With four lots at the Park and several city lots just footsteps from the Park, you will be ready to start your Niagara Falls adventure just as soon as you get out of the car!

Arrive early / take an alternate route
While there are four parking lots in the State Park, they tend to fill up early on weekends (including Friday) and holidays which results in heavy traffic entering the park from the Niagara Scenic Parkway. In order to avoid that, you might consider using alternate means into the city from points north, south and east of the park. Rt. 62/Niagara Falls Blvd. either from the I-290 or the I-190 is a perfect way to enter the downtown core while avoiding traffic backups. This will take you on city streets and add a few minutes to your trip but could save a great deal of time stuck in traffic. Once in the downtown core, you may park in a number of city lots that are just moments from the park. Additionally, you may consider using an alternate GPS address of 10 Rainbow Blvd, Niagara Falls, NY 14303.

Special pass holders
Visitors participating in the State Parks Empire Passport and Access Pass may tap your passes on Parking equipment in designated spots. For NY State Golden Pass holders, please scan the back of your NYS Drivers License as directed on machines. Push the silver intercom button if assistance is needed.

Exiting and re-entering
If you plan to exit the park and then return to a parking lot, please be sure to take your receipt to show for same day re-entry. Re-entry allowed only if space is available.

Nestled on the Elizabeth River, the 12,067 seat stadium boasts 20 luxury suites, press facilities, including two TV broadcasting booths, and a 300-seat restaurant. Harbor Park also features a complete picnic area for private parties, as well as an exceptional variety of concession food and beverages for stadium guests.

To facilitate traffic flow, staff will be on site to assist with parking direction and space location. Vehicles will be directed to designated lots based on their entry location. Lots will be parked back to front to facilitate traffic flow.

On some high attendance day and night games, all Harbor Park lots and nearby garages will fill. Overflow traffic will be directed to the Dominion Tower Garage off Water Street, St. Paul's Lot on St. Paul's Boulevard; and the Waterside Garage on Waterside Drive. Also, parking is available in MacArthur Center Garages. Patrons are advised to come early to avoid traffic congestion.

Be prepared for railroad noise when visiting the park. Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Amtrak actively use the Burlington Northern railroad track that runs through the park day and night. The track runs through the park and bisects the main day-use and camping area. The noisiest areas are sites 42-49, group camp (G1) and walk-in sites W1-W8.

Additionally, Highway 11/Chuckanut Drive passes through the park on the east side of the campground.

Camping from Sept. 16 to May 14 is first come, first served. Note that water in the park may be shut off during these months for winterization. The park is typically winterized by late November and de-winterized by late March. There is a winter water supply at the main campground restroom. For more information see the Winter Schedule

A Discover Pass is also required to access the boat launch and beach area. Daily or annual passes can be purchased online, at the self-serve pay stations, at automated pay stations in the park (located near the amphitheater and at the Lost Lake parking lot) or when staff is available.

Larrabee offers a boat launch that is available for use at high tide, but might be inaccessible to launching and retrieving watercraft at low-tide cycles. When traffic is heavy in Hermann Park, city police officers will make Hermann Park Drive one way, preventing vehicles from turning into the park from Cambridge. When this happens, consider driving to offsite parking as lots in the park are likely to be full. To get into the park, continue on Cambridge until you arrive at Fannin. A right on Fannin or Main will take you to a roundabout; turn right onto Hermann Park Drive and continue through the park to reach the Zoo.
