Hi,
We're new to Rife having switched over from Django because of a shift to
Java. We like what we see. A couple of dumb questions first
1) which version do I use 1.6.1 is on the downloads but 1.7.0 is on the
snapshot link
2) what are the changes that have been made between the two

I'm also having trouble getting DWR to see my class but I'm pretty sure its my
fault

Cheers,
SImon

Hi Simon,

For full disclosure, RIFE isn't being actively worked on at the
moment. The 1.7 branch is still work in progress and not considered
stable. Since I'm not doing any web development anymore I have very
little incentive to continue working on the framework, certainly since
there are only a small amount of users and not many contributions.

The DWR version that ships with 1.6.1 should just work, I'm using it
on several sites. Any later version hasn't been tested however and
there's a big chance that they are incompatible.

Hope this helps,

Geert

Hi Geert,

So, are you out of the web development game altogether? What are you up
to instead? :)

Well, I've been working at Terracotta now for almost 2 years now on
our clustering product.

... and I've picked up music again in my spare time :-)

This is not an April fool btw!

Cool -- I'll have to look more closely at Terracotta. :) Glad to hear
that's been steady and working out well!

Yeah -- I forgot to post a comment on your blog when you posted about
it! Cool stuff!
