I've been away a few years now due to a sickness I have for Sim Racing. So first I'd like to say hello to all. Although I'm obsessed with Sim Racing, every Rig I own has a set of flight controls and include both Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D. I've run i...
I'm trying to install the Create a World Tool, but it says "This product requires an installed copy of The Sims 3. Please install The Sims 3 before installing this product," but The Sims 3 is installed. I am running game version 1.67.2 and have the game installed through steam. I have 6 EP's, if that changes anything.
@stxeep The issue is that the registry entries for the Steam version of Sims 3 have the word (Steam) in them, so CAW doesn't recognize those entries. If you're comfortable editing your computer's registry on your own, you can fix this yourself.
I have recentley recieved a hard copy of "The Sims 4" for my birthday however it is a disk and my laptop and my only computer i own doesnt have a disk drive, i have everything inside the disks and the codes but how do you install it or do i have to get a external disk drive plz if anyone has any awnsers plz tell me.mileyhappy:
You would need to download and install the Origin client. If you already have Origin, just sign in with your Origin account and go to Origin menu in top left corner and select 'Redeem Product Code' option. After redeeming the code for the game, it will be added to the My Games section and you can download/install the game without the need for discs.
i reinstalled my sims 4 cats and dogs bundle and it says that its installed but then goes to a screen that says "copying add ons" it'll get halfway there and then start over again saying "copying add ons" it says the game is installed but wont go past the copying add ons screen, this is the first time i've had this issue and i dont know what to do. i rebooted the ps4 everything and still the same thing.
First, let's be sure your disk is free of any scratches or dirt. If it looks clean, we'll want to uninstall the content completely from your console. Once you've uninstalled it, please disconnect your console from the internet, and reinstall the game offline using the disk.
If that still doesn't resolve the issue for you, I'd recommend reaching out to PlayStation support about this to be sure there are no issues with your console's hardware that may need repairing. You can contact them here for help on this.
I have purchased a physical copy of The Sims 3, along with numerous different Expansion packs/ Stuff Packs. However I recently got a new computer and would like to download my sims games onto this new computer. Problem is this computer has no disc drive that i could insert my Sims 3 game disc into to download. So i was wondering if there was a way for me to digitally download the game even though i already purchased the physical copy. (I still have the code along with the handbook) I even registerred these games on TheSims3.com on my account. So is there any way for me to digitally download these games? Because I really don't want to pay $80 for disc reader.
You can download the game through the Origin Client which you can download here: Log in the client, if you've registered the games at thesims3.com, the games should already be available for download.
If you didn't, you should be able to redeem the codes.
I don't work or have any association with EA. I give advice to the best of my knowledge and cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your computer/game.
Please only contact me via PM when asked to do so.
I could not find my disc when I first asked for help with this problem. But I did have my box, the booklet, and my Product code. It would not allow me to add the game to my library even with my product code. said that it had already been used. I don't know how. I have since found my disc, but I have to use an external drive with this laptop and would prefer to not Have to do so just to play my game. Not sure what I am doing wrong...
@TmBJds It sounds like the product code was already registered to an EA/Origin account, or perhaps on the Sims 3 Store site, which amounts to the same thing. In that case, you'd simply need to login to that account and download your game from there.
If you can't figure out which account owns your game, you can try contacting EA customer support for help. Take a photo that includes the disc, case, and insert with the code showing and readable; you can upload the photo when you submit the live chat request.
@1b34c845b89a7c707b74c0eb26717586 First - the disk version comes with and installs SecuROM and SafeDisc. These are no longer supported by Windows. When you bought the game you should have a pamphlet with a code on the back. This code can only be used once. Once the code is accepted it can not be re-entered. When Windows stopped supporting SecuROM the DRM changed to Origin. If you activated your game with the code you should have an Origin account. At this point you could download the digital version from Origin or download the latest patch which will disable SecuROM and SafeDisc and you will no longer need a disk to play. I have bought packs from Amazon and they came with a code. After redeeming the code that item was listed as owned on Origin and I was able to download it and install it. If you try to enter your codes now they may (should) work. If the codes do not work you will have to contact an EA game consultant as this is a public open user to user forum and user accounts can not be accessed here.
I own all of the EPs and SPs of the Sims 3 game and I actually have the original physical version of the games which come with the CDs and the boxes but all of them were installed on my old computer (laptop) which I do not use anymore because it is too old to run the games .The question is how am I able to have all of the EP and SP I originally own on my new computer. Can I do that by copy/pasting the original EA folder and what's inside or there's another way.All of my CDs are legal but I hadn't thought of signing them up with Origin back then and I have a big problem now. Please help me! The only CD I still have is the base game The Sims 3 and TS3 and Into the Future I've lost the other CDs since I didn't need them for playing the game!!! I really need some help. What should I do to solve this problem?
I am purchasing a new PC ( the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 laptop) and I would like to know how to install MSFS 2020 that I already purchased to this new laptop with out loosing any of my settings and key alocation of my joystick.
Thanks
Stelios
When you install MSFS, the first time you run it, in theory it should download from the cloud all the relevant information from your cloud profile, including the settings for your controllers such as your joystick.
If you haven't played in a while, we don't recommend copy-pasting your installation folder from your old system to the new one. You risk importing files that do not exist anymore and getting stuck ...
I got it to work by creating a CA and then adding a CA certificate using the iPhone provisioning tool. Then I was able to have a certificate signed by that CA certificate on the API server and the NSConnection just worked. I was not able to get it to work using a self-signed certificate for some reason. I need to re-attempt this using the provisioning software.
I was using CharlesProxy and i noticed it was correctly installing certificates into the Simulator but they did not show up in the Settings - Profiles section. Then after some searching I discovered this tool. There are probably a few other tools out there but in my case the drag-and-drop never worked correctly for all cases. Safari would be fine but not my applications.
