I updated to Sierra, still not working. The specific problem is that the actual 'download' buttons in iTunes does not work, for any type of purchase. I can purchase an item, but then when I click on 'download' nothing happens. When I navigate to 'check for available download,' i get a message that says there are no available downloads for my account. But I do get charged for the purchase.

I am also experiencing a problem with the download button after purchasing a tv show, or renting a movie, since the 12.6 iTunes update. Clicking on it does nothing, and "check for available downloads" reports none available.

I was able to download my tv show after navigating to TV Shows in Purchased using the Quick Link. However, I could only see the movie rental under Rented on my Apple TV. Very frustrating as I wanted to watch the movie off-line later on my Mac.

This is the workaround that I have used as well, downloading via the 'purchased' page. But can't download rentals. Apple responded, but said they had put a new copy in my download queue and to go to 'check for available downloads.' This does not work. So now they are just refunding my purchase, but they are not addressing the real problem.

As soon as the "watch now/watch later" dialog was introduced, the "download" button only appears for 1 second in the interim, and it is unclickable. Then it changes to "play", usually while the dialog is still up. The only way to download the shows now is through the interface available through the "Account--> Purchased" menu selections.

I stumbled on a solution for downloading rented movies onto a computer since the download button doesn't work. In your itunes movie library under Views select All Movies, the rented movies should now appear under the Rented tab, and you will be able to download them to your computer. I originally selected Only Downloaded Movies to show on my computer, so any rentals didn't appear.

I have seen this not only for rentals but also for season passes. Download buttons in the browse areas don't work, but you can download from the "Purchased" pages. For rentals what I found worked (iTunes 12.6.0.100/Sierra 10.12.4) was
