Woods, a favorite for those who chase undervalued production, will see a change at quarterback with Matthew Stafford taking over in 2021. Stafford should raise the week-to-week floor and also provide a higher ceiling with mid-WR1 upside. While this may slightly raise his perceived value on-aggregate, the age and overall lack of sexiness in his profile will persist, making him an excellent target for a competing roster.
Chasing aging veterans in dynasty is one of the best ways to get cheap production on your roster. Although not specifically mentioned above, this is easier to accomplish at the quarterback and wide receiver position as running back lends itself to younger production. So although this article only mentions some ways to capture dynasty value, those are the positions to target as both positions favor a slower decline due to the physical toll and technique involved. That being said, regardless of the position, chasing veteran values can make or break your dynasty roster in 2021.
In steps C2C, or Campus to Canton leagues. Now we can have our cake and eat it too, with our college players scoring points for us on Saturdays (and Fridays, Thursdays, Wednesdays, and even the occasional Tuesday)! Rather than having a dynasty roster with a small amount of devy players on a taxi squad, college and NFL players are split into two separate groups, the campus and the canton league. Having two different leagues offers a lot of flexibility, and you can customize them however your group desires.
We will dive into strategies in future articles, but one of the great things about a C2C league is the ability to trade anything. While drafting your campus squad, you can trade any combination of campus players, campus picks, canton players, and canton picks. Keep in mind that canton picks are extremely depleted, and not nearly as valuable as a normal dynasty league. Future-year campus picks, referred to as supplemental picks, can be used in trades as well.

How crazy is it that UTSA just took 37 new athletes under scholarship and still have one spot open for potential transfers? After losing 37 seniors UTSA was booked with the daunting task of refilling its roster while also trying to avoid a huge logjam of a class full of 37 freshmen.
UTSA's second high school quarterback in the class, Henderson is an elite athlete that is still developing as a passer. Is already on campus as an early enrollee. Henderson has an outside shot at starting or seeing playing time as a freshman.
Possibly the most important player in the class, Williams will likely start his first game at UTSA. Another JUCO transfer that is already on campus, he has the natural ability to dominate Conference USA.

Glielmi emphasizes that in training and intra-squads (simulated competitions held on meet weeks to determine who will compete), the entire roster plays a role by pushing those ahead of them to execute the best routine they can. The result is a strong lineup on each of the six apparatuses and an equally deep bench. Inside Training Camp, the process is simple - first choose your mini-game. This was an easy to miss surprise for most users and one that was unavailable to CPU controlled teams. To fix this, the 5th Year Option has been fully integrated into the Re-Sign system and screens for users and CPU alike. During the season you will see your eligible players appear at the end of the Re-Sign list with their current projected earnings for the 5th year. Once in the offseason these players will move back into the list and the final earnings will be updated on the card. This is when the final decision is made. Pick up the option if you have determined the player is critical to your roster and deserving of the increased compensation or move on and make the decision to extend the player normally the following season.
While we challenge every user to create and maintain the greatest dynasty the NFL has yet to see, the real competitor in almost all leagues are the CPU controlled teams. For these teams Player Value is the most important metric in their behavior. We have continued to refine these calculations this year with a focus on decision making in regards to re-signing players. CPU teams will better identify key players and take more care in offering the perfect contract.
Keldon Johnson is fresh off signing a four-year, $80 million deal with the Spurs in the offseason. Currently in his fourth year, Johnson is now the longest tenured player that was drafted by the Spurs currently on the roster.
The newest addition to the Spurs roster has added a bit of color to the team. With the ninth pick in the 2022 draft, the Spurs selected forward Jeramy Sochan out of Baylor University. Sochan is the highest drafted player by the Spurs since Tim Duncan at No. 1 in 1997. Sochan was selected for the Rising Stars game during All-Star weekend.
