Dear Friends,
Poet Williams Wordsworth is noted for saying, “Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher.” He
regarded Nature as a living personality (spelled with a capital N) and
presumed there is a divine spirit in all objects of Nature.
I explore this aspect of Nature-Spirit in the January 2026 podcast of the Story Walking Radio Hour...
https://dreamvisions7radio.com/nature-as-teacher/ I illustrate this concept through storytelling. And, at the end of the episode, you will be able to hear my new song "Path of Wonder." (lyrics by Wendy Fachon, music by Robert Sherwood, and vocals by Robert Sherwood and
Teresa Lorenço), and Robert Sherwood's satirical song "We All Come Back as Birds."
For February 202, I interview Elaine Carlson, a citizen scientist volunteer devoted to Chicago Bird Collision Monitoring. Los Angeles, New York and
Chicago are the biggest U.S. cities located along major migratory
flyways, and the number of birds that die crashing into high-rise
buildings is astonishing. Elaine has some poignant stories to share, and we will delve into the responsibilities of a monitor, the data and solutions to the problem.
Please share.
Thank you,
Wendy
