Hello RIEEA community!
How's that balmy weather treating everyone?! So nice to see the sun and for temps to be over freezing, am I right? We have two upcoming events over the next few weeks that I wanted to let you all know about:
Lobbying 101
Tuesday, Feb 10
6:00-7:30pm
A practical, beginner-friendly Zoom workshop for anyone interested in helping advance environmental education legislation in Rhode Island. We’ll break down what advocacy and lobbying really mean, what you can and can’t do if you are representing a nonprofit organization, and how to engage legislators with confidence - because they’re not as intimidating as they seem! You’ll also learn how to tailor your message, share testimony, and navigate advocacy within your organization. The session will be interactive, with plenty of time for questions and discussion throughout.
