Community Health, Recreation, & Events Organizer Intern (2026)

The Community Health, Recreation, & Events Organizer Intern supports the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council’s outdoor recreation and community health programs along the Woonasquatucket River Greenway. Working closely with the Event Coordinator and Development Team, the intern helps plan and support walks, fitness classes, paddles, bike rides, workshops, clean-ups, and other community events. This paid internship ($16/hour) is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with diverse communities, and supporting inclusive events while gaining hands-on experience in event coordination, community engagement, and recreation programming within a community-based environmental nonprofit.
La pasantía de Organización de Salud Comunitaria, Recreación y Eventos apoya los programas de recreación al aire libre y salud comunitaria del Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council a lo largo del Woonasquatucket River Greenway. En colaboración con la Coordinadora de Eventos y el Equipo de Desarrollo, la persona pasante ayuda a planificar y apoyar caminatas, clases de actividad física, paseos en kayak o canoa, paseos en bicicleta, talleres, jornadas de limpieza y otros eventos comunitarios. Esta pasantía remunerada ($16 por hora) es ideal para quienes disfrutan trabajar al aire libre, interactuar con comunidades diversas y apoyar eventos inclusivos mientras adquieren experiencia práctica en coordinación de eventos, participación comunitaria y programación recreativa dentro de una organización ambiental sin fines de lucro con enfoque comunitario.
