Calling all environmental educators!

The Rhode Island Student Climate Coalition (RISCC) is hosting a conference this Saturday featuring a panel of legislators: District 11 Senator Linda Ujifusa, District 71 Representative Michelle McGaw, District 66 Representative Jennifer Boylan, District 60 Representative Karen Alzate, and Providence City Councilor for Ward 3 and candidate for Lieutenant Governor Sue AnderBois.

The conference will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Guild in Pawtucket. A networking hour with local environmental activists and advocates will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the legislative panel at 10:00 a.m. Attendees will hear from panelists about the bills they are advancing at the State House to meet Rhode Island’s Act on Climate goals and to forge a responsible, realistic, and equitable path to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

All ages are welcome, and we would be grateful to see many of you there. We also encourage you to share this opportunity with high school and college students who may be interested in getting involved with RISCC!

Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and we hope to see you on Saturday!

Sincerely,
