Seed to Seed Farm School Apprenticeship Open

Seed to Seed Farm School has opened the application period for the 2026 Apprenticeship program.

S2S is a farmer-run decentralized apprenticeship program offering on-farm work opportunities, paid hours, and classes in RI and MA. We support local farms by assisting host farms in our program with wage relief. In 2025 we paid $13,000 to local farms who participated. Our mission is to educate the next generation of farmers while helping to reduce the labor costs for established farms. 

The S2S Apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for people interested in getting involved in agriculture in southern New England. We offer placement on three farms in your area to work as hired staff while also participating in foundational classes in farm science and business. Our hope for this program is to foster a love of farming through exposure and hard work.

There are no obligations of any kind to register and limited obligations to host an apprentice.

Our application period for apprenticeships will be held from now until mid March. Acceptable applications that arrive early will be given priority.
