Undergraduates Apply! 2026 Open Newsroom @RI NSF EPSCoR

Hi All, 

My program, RI NSF EPSCoR, through its latest initiative RI-NEST, is now accepting applications from undergraduates enrolled at RI colleges and universities for the second year of The Open Newsroom! The 12-week, paid summer fellowship puts students in the shoes of reporters to explore science-related issues impacting local communities.

The fellowship, in collaboration with URI's Metcalf Institute, is open to STEM and non-STEM majors who are passionate about a topic or issue of science/research. The deadline to apply is Thursday, March 26. Learn more at our program page.
