For the second year, the Wildlife Division is offering a series of free workshops that will focus on proper electric fence installation, including tips on how to successfully deter bears and other wildlife from going after apiaries, livestock, crops, and
more. The best approach to managing conflicts with wildlife is preventing them in the first place, and the use of electric fencing is an excellent way to do so. This workshop is a great opportunity for those considering the use of electric fencing or for those
who have experienced difficulty with their setup.
The workshops will take place at several locations across the state from April through June, including Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington, Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby, Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, and Franklin Swamp Wildlife
Management Area in North Franklin. Registration is required to attend."
