🎉 The 2025 Rhode Island Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) has been submitted to the US Fish & Wildlife Service, a major milestone for protecting our state's fish, wildlife, and plant species!
This plan identifies vulnerable species and habitats, outlines the threats they face, and provides conservation actions to protect them.
DEM thanks the experts, partners, and community members whose voices and dedication brought this plan to life.
The work continues. We're developing practical tools to make the SWAP easier to use, and we need YOUR input to get it right.
