Hi Wendy,

There is a saying that lives at the core of every spiritual tradition on earth. Once you get past the main characters, tales of good deeds, evils vanquished, and lessons learned…

“You can’t take it with you.”

A friendly warning that our physical possessions will not follow us into the afterlife. That we must let go of attachment to anything that does not already reside within ourselves - a.k.a. our soul. We see this hazard signage repeated again and again in folktales, myths, and legends - from Aladdin to Ebenezer Scrooge.

And yet… most of us are quite consumed by the material comforts of this physical incarnation. The gravitational pull - the tractor beam of capitalism - has us firmly in its clutches, Amazon box after Amazon box arriving on our doorstep. Each package feeling less special than the last. A temporary fix to fill an ever-widening hole, where connection, purpose, and presence used to be.

This culture of convenience is not what it’s cracked up to be, eh? And it’s affecting more than just our collective psyche… this more = better mentality is having catastrophic consequences on the health of our planet.

And just in time… in walks (or pedals) a legend in the making. Anti-materialist, conservation crusader Robin Greenfield.

Ever heard of him?

20 years ago, Robin said goodbye to all of his earthly possessions and started walking the earth - in search of the true meaning of life. He just felt like there was more to this reality than our corporate-controlled civilization has to offer. So he left everything behind and began looking.

And his journey is now captivating millions.

From eating out of dumpsters to walking down the entire coast to give away his remaining possessions (mostly barefoot!), Robin's unconventional lifestyle has caught the attention of major news networks across the country.

Why are so many people fascinated by a man who chooses to own nothing?

This is exactly what we find out in the premiere of the new documentary GREENFIELD - a film that we co-created with my good friend Rob Herring.
