Join RIDEM's Division of Fish and Wildlife Pollinator Entomologist, Toby Shaya, for an introductory workshop on specimen preparation, processing, pinning, and identification. We will discuss the importance of natural history collections, explain and demonstrate the process by which we process, pin, and label specimens, as well as give workshop participants the chance to try their hand at pinning bees as well. Come with questions, prepared to learn, and the willingness to try your hand at something new!
