How are climate-driven shifts already underway, from warmer winters to more frequent extreme weather, affecting tree physiology, health, and survival?
What do these tree-level impacts mean in terms of broader forest ecosystem responses, including carbon storage, wildlife habitat, and long-term forest resilience?
Dr. Kosiba, forest ecophysiologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont, leads their Extension Forestry Program and serves as the State Extension Forester.
