Audubon's Taking Root: nature-based learning for all is an initiative started in 2022. It is dedicated to designing engaging and accessible environmental education programs for students and adults with disabilities throughout the state of Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

We are looking for an educator with experience in the field of special education to help the education team coordinate and facilitate Taking Root programming. Audubon will train this educator in environmental education practices and programming, as well as animal handling. The prior special education experts have compiled information on each group that Audubon has served since Taking Root began so there is a strong basis on which to build.
