Hi RIEEA Community!

I’m reaching out to share a job opportunity with the Wood-Pawcatuck Wild & Scenic Rivers Stewardship Council. We’re currently seeking a Social Media & Events Coordinator (contractor) to support our outreach, communications, and public programming efforts highlighting the Stewardship Councils' work.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys a mix of communications and hands-on event work. You will work with others to plan and promote our programming and events, helping us grow engagement through social media and partnerships.

Position highlights:

Contract term: June 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Approx. 240 hours annually (~10 hrs/week, seasonal)
$25/hour, flexible and mostly remote (with in-person events across the watershed)

We’re looking for someone organized, collaborative, comfortable working outdoors, and who loves being on the water. Familiarity with environmental education, or the Wood-Pawcatuck watershed and its Wild and Scenic Rivers is a plus.
