Hello all,

I am happy to share that Mystic Aquarium has two paid fellowship opportunities this summer for current college students or recent college graduates. Brief summaries of each opportunity are below, and the detailed announcements and application information for each are attached.

Electric Boat Fellowship

Mystic Aquarium, in partnership with Electric Boat, is offering an 11-week summer fellowship for motivated students interested in environmental education, sustainability, animal care, and public engagement. Fellows will collaborate with professionals across multiple departments to gain hands-on experience in both marine science and industry applications. The program emphasizes science communication through the development of interactive public exhibits connecting ocean conservation with submarine manufacturing.

Indigenous Summer Program Fellowship

This summer fellowship, based at the USFWS Kettle Pond Visitor Center in Charlestown, RI, offers hands-on experience in Indigenous cultural education, environmental education, and marine science. In collaboration with the Narragansett Tribe, Tomaquag Museum, and Mystic Aquarium, the program supports the delivery of inclusive, nature-based summer programming for Indigenous youth that integrates STEM and cultural learning. Fellows will work closely with education professionals to engage youth, support community outreach, and contribute to program planning and field-based conservation experiences.

Please share with any qualified candidates. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Best,
